Are we signing Emile Francis to backup Henke?

Christensen is an interesting pickup.

Yikes. Shaking things up.

This gives us a bit more forward depth. Christensen is a solid pickup for the bottom lines.

Vally will get claimed. I feel it in my gut.

Im actually really sorry for Vally. Seemed like a great guy. Hope this doesnt piss off the boys.

Christensen is a bust, but hopefully he can turn it around.

Woah! I just heard this. Who is on their way out? Very interesting moves. I liked Christenen when he was in Pitt. Does Johnson come up now?

Interesting indeed. I saw a bit of him when he was with the Pens. He has a really good wrister and decent speed. Anaheim wasn't really using him all that well, but I don't think he's the cure for our problems. It's kind of like claiming Petr Prucha off waivers.

Vally hasn't played well enough to keep the spot, but I'm really surprised to see him get waived. He's been an important part of this team for several years now.

Either Johnson is coming or the Rangers have a deal in the works to bring in a backup, might be a bigger move in the works.

I can see Toronto claiming Vally, appears Gustavsson may be done.

I can't figure out whats worse, your idea of trading Lundqvist or admitting you have a Chad Johnson jersey

Christensen is okay...I like that.

I guess the Rangers have a lot of faith in Johnson/Zaba.

Yep, agreed.

All this talk of firing Allaire and such, what do they do - waive Valley? I wonder if it is just the beginning to an even bigger deal. Maybe Henrik isn't 100% ?

Hey FBD, good call on Valley to Toronto.

At least Christensen has some size, hopefully he uses it better than Voros.

Christensen is good as long as u don't expect much out of him. Deadly in shootouts.

What ? Waive Vally? wow.

I never saw the Rangers as being an organization THAT deep in goaltending.

Johnson impressed me in preseason - is he the only choice considering the cap? Valliquettes cap hit wasn't very much so i doubt it was solely just to clear space for something bigger. Christensen's hit is the exact same... so with Vally becoming an upcoming UFA i guess its an even swap. I feel bad for him he was a good soldier.

Christensen will add some offensive instincts but i havent seen him play much since he was in the East. Does he just play center? If so what are they trying to do here? Balance the lineup? Dubinksy is coming back soon. Or is it precautionary with Drurys condition?

What's the sense in waiving PA to replace him with Christensen? They're very similar players and I'd actually give the edge to Pappy.

With the "toughness" Voros brings, I doubt he gets waived. He's lousy, but he's been a better alternative to Brashear recently.

You could certainly be right, but if they were going to waive Voros, wouldn't they have done it already? Or can you only have one player on the wire at a time?
