Graham is from Sly and the Family Stone. He knows just about all there is to know about playing the bass. GCS was a pretty solid funk band in the 70s.

So I was at the team meet and greet last night for STH, and I went to the Richards, Powe, Kalinski table. Afterwards my sister was like "why didn't you tell him about the song?"

I blew it. I could have told him but I was too nervous haha. It also would have taken too long to explain.

why were you nervous? You realize Powe (or Richards, etc...) is just like you and me, you know? You shouldnt be nervous to talk to one of them

Maybe he didn't want them to impregnate his sister. A reasonable fear.*

*I don't know how this joke will work out if it turns out his sister is 8.

Eh, I can't blame him. I've been nervous too, and ****....these guys are soooooo much younger than me. I was almost speechless when I met Carter, and I kinda bumbled through talking to Emery when I had him sign my "massacre".

Haha, she's 19...but I'm a fan of any and all jokes. I have no boundaries.

And as for my being nervous...I don't know. I'm 23 years old but hockey players are still my idols.

all i'm saying is you shouldnt be nervous to approach them, because these NHL players are just like you and me. Sure, some of them develop massive egos, but you shouldnt put them on a pedestal

to be honest, i was like that with celebrities/pro atheletes as well, until i met Trent Reznor this past summer. we had a nice little convo and i was able to realize that no matter how popular someone is, what their celebrity status is, etc...he's still a human being just like everyone else and should be treated no differently. Unfortunately some of the girls that also met him didn't figure that out
