Absolutely no reason to pick him up. Let's (finally) give JDD and DD some experience. People were moaning all last year that our young goalies weren't getting enough action and now that they have the opportunity, you want to bring in a nobody to play in goal? Come on.

Do we really think he's going to carry this team on his back all the way from bottom of the league to the playoffs?

I think they discussed it with Sather. Oilers claimes Valiquette, he gets some game practice here and when Khabbi is back, they'll waive him and Rangers re-claim him.

Drouin-Deslauriers is a much better backup than Valiquette, maybe the Canes should claime him.

What experience is DD getting out of sitting on the bench and coming in at 4-0?

I agree I want him to develop, but that's not quality development, imo.
