Hey guys Isles fan here, just wanna say i'm happy for you die hards for hanging in there and you have a great team that has turned some heads and raised some eyebrows. I really hope you guys make the playoffs and end your 7 year drought. Its great to see the team come around and its starting to look like the team will stay. Personally I hope it does. 2 goals tonight from 2 unlikely sources in a game where it should have been the stars lighting up the lamp.
While Ill take the win I'm still pissed off at a few things though.
1. Giving up the 1st goal of the game with 1 second left in the period.
2. The Refs premature whistle on the 5 on 3 costing the Yotes a tying goal only to have Prucha score the tying and not 2 Yotes goal late on the 5 on 4 powerplay.
3. Yotes came close to letting Calgary tying the game late in the 3rd.

Love that other guys stepped up and scored instead of the same old guys. We need all of our lines scoring and hands off the Pyatt...beauty of a goal. Prucha too. Not the nicest goal but he deserves one since he's been in a drought of late and he's been working hard. Oh and for those that may of went to the game, how many people were there?

That was an awesome game to be at. Flames fans are so much less obnoxious than the Hab fans. Kipprusoft had a few insane saves and I still can't figure out how our powerplay manages to look that bad even when we have a 5 on 3 but a win is a win
They play much better when Bissonnette and Mueller aren't in the lineup

I want to know how the heck Pyatt can disappear for huge stretches of games and then score a goal that pretty? If he could play at that level all the time, he would be awesome.
I was very happy to see Prucha net one. He deserves it with all the chances he generates. It seems he always comes close to scoring, and then misses out at the last minute.

Too be fair, that would've been a goal if the ref wasn't a spaz.
I read on the main forum the other day that when a team doesn't score on a two man advantage, the other team wins 9/10 times, even if the team with the powerplay is winning by two goals. Maybe a called-off goal skews that statistic.

Didn't someone say that Pyatt is known for becoming an animal once someone messes with him?! Not to long before that goal one of the Flames got into a little tiff with Pyatt after the whistle and it sure seem to flip a switch in him.
heh his name is Rob Kerr . He is a regular on the Fan 960 . Great guy who is fairly new to calling games . He is usually a lot better than that was . but they interviewed Peter Mahr who is the " voice of the flames " who was doing the radio broadcast .And they said that Rob Kerr basically lost his voice earlier in the day and has been sick since they arrived in Phoenix . I don't like how Boedker is only getting eight minutes a night, almost all of which comes in the first two periods. It's a waste.
I take it from earlier in the thread, that you weren't able to watch the game? If so, Boedker on every shift he had, he did something positive. He seems to be one of the few guys that can actually take a pass in stride and make something out of it. Makes me wonder if Yandle would have been given the same shot to break out if Sauer, Jovo, and Michalek weren't injured for so long. We need to give him a couple of solid games with a lot of minutes and see what he can do with it. I want PP time for him as well.

I've been frustrated with Boedker being so offensively passive but I admit last night he seemed to be much more assertive!
Now come to think of it, what is wrong with Tippet? How does he think Beodker is going to breakout? Not even Ovechkin would thrive in his first year only getting 8 minutes. Play the *** kid! He is one of the best skaters on the team! Let him have PP time! Its a total waste to give to freaking guys that dont deserve it! Just because he's 19. I like Tippet but not in this aspect. Total waste of talent. Anyone can see this. Obviously Tippet cant
