I agree with this. I mean, who the **** was Bylsma? But, still, no one is worse than Stevens. We can only go up from here.

Meh, all the Oil fans hated MacT, like I said on the main board though, I feel like anything would be better than Stevens, so I guess it's an upgrade.

So happy this has happened. I hope they don't make Berube the coach. The guy was a goon, how does that even make him qualified. He is in charge of the PP and it sucks right now. Go out of the organization.

It will be interessing to see how Steven's boys will respond, meaning the ex-Phantom guys...

Anyone think Laviolette might want that C on someone else?

If Lav has gotten the job it'll be interesting to see how he handles the chemistry problemo in the locker room. Lav never seemed like outspoken guy in Carolina. He actually appeared to have a demeanor similar to Stevens.

Unlikely to matter who he wants it on. Ritchie is the captain, for better or worse.

The only guys who played under Stevens on the Phantoms were Richards and Carter, right? I guess Cote too, but everyone knows he's useless.

I'm cracking up on the activity on this board. It went from like, 70 active users to nearly 300 in 15 minutes!

And Richards/Carter only played during the playoffs (Carter may have gotten a game or two at the end of the season). Cote might be the only Phantom who played a whole season.

I hope they go the interim route... But thank God, at least we have movement on this issue.

Bylsma was a mucker like someone like Laperriere or maybe lesser. When they hired him I wondered what they were thinking, but some former players have a different way with coaching.

According to NHL.com and the Flyers, they are talking with Laviolette.

It's the Andy Reid effect. Like with Eagles fans, they identify the flaws of the team before Andy Reid is willing to admit it.
