This would be before Kolanos joined the team.

Danny Markov was awesome. He was a good, tough, balanced player.

Radoslav Suchy is another that comes to mind. He played 4-5 solid years here and rarely missed any games, then I think he went to Columbus for a bit and I believe that was it for him too.
Suchy was a nice defenseman for the Coyotes too.

Markov and Suchy were two of may favorites. I was so bummed when Suchy signed that long-term Swiss contract. I had held out hope for his return, previous to that. At the time of his trade, Danny Markov was my favorite player on the team. My favorites always get traded. Tocchet, May, Markov, Langkow, Ballard, ect.

No, I'm not saying. No Coyotes in my avatar, and no admitting favorites. Too dangerous.

[My guess is Trevor Letowski. He was a pretty high scoring junior, had a PPG season in Springfield and a promising rookie '99-'00 season with the Yotes, but never put the whole scoring thing together in the NHL.]

Well, here's a pic with a couple...although it was time for the one on top to fall off the map....I guess you could say the other fell off the map and into the broadcast booth....although I'd like to see someone caption what they think the 'guy' on the bottom is thinking in this pic

Chelios might be one of those guys who could really teach some great habits to some of our younger players.... especially Yandle and Mueller (off-ice conditioning).

I don't know if Nash really fell off. I don't think he was ever really on.

I don't think Nash's career .171 PPG can classify as being on something high enough to fall off of.

I'm not going to defend Tyson Nash's NHL career because it doesn't merit much defense, but not every player's career can be judged by their PPG average. As bad as Tyson Nash was in the PPG numbers, he must have done something someone liked to play 6 full seasons in the NHL and likely 7 if not for the lock out.

Probably someone that was considered waiver fodder at the start of the year, but is having a nice season to date.

I just saw Mike Johnson on NHL On the Fly, turns out he landed a full time gig there and apparently is on a radio show as well. So while he's not playing hockey, he's definitely still on the map!

A handful of Johnson's appearances on TSN and The Score piqued XM's interest and he was asked to fill in on the weekend satellite radio show from Wayne Gretzky's restaurant.

They obviously liked what they saw and Johnson quickly became a regular. He appears daily on XM's NHL Power Play show, simulcast on the NHL Network. He also won a full-time gig on the network's NHL on the Fly.

Odd, he always seemed the quiet type to me. Except when he left the Coyotes.

Good on him. I always thought he was a really smart hockey player. I hope he can apply those hockey smarts to a career in analysis.

Actually he's very good. After hearing him this week I started thinking outloud about whether or not Phoenix should bring him in to work with Strader.

That would be awesome. I don't think Johnson likes Phoenix much, though.

I always liked Boyd Deveraux's speed and agility, he wasn't one of my favorites but he was exciting to watch

Why is that? Im curious because he did have his best 2 seasons here and the org stuck by him when it looked like he was going to wash out of the NHL.
