I hope it's that and not Laraque taking White's spot

Probably a good thing. For all his work ethic and the coach's love, White and Pyatt ultimately are still 4th-liners/AHLers. It's better if they get bumped off the roster by real NHLers (by which I mean 'not Laraque').

This may mean Pouliot can play (let's hope he is a real NHLer too). This also probably means Sergei can still play too, and it's a good thing. He's shown he can play the PK effectively, and that was the one thing White did really well.

This also restores a bit of hope in the coaching. The over-lionization of White was seriously getting on my nerves. I get that he's got a great work ethic, but there are other players who will help the team more. This at least means that that's recognized.

I would've kept White over Pyatt personally, but that's OK. White showed some good things while up, he is probably first to be called up next.

Would be ok if they are trying to "showcase" him for a trade, he played well enough last night... If they can just show he's of health, someone might take him.

White showed that he wasn't out of place in the NHL. I'm sure that he's going back to Hamilton with his head high.

Me too. I love both though.

Also, stupid detail, but white mouthguard = badass (a la Patrick Kane).

I agree though.
Laraque

White knows he can play in the NHL. He needs to improve his scoring abilities. He's had chances, he needs to take advantage more. Only time and experience can help this now. He's got a future in the NHL imo.

Same here.

I liked White's strength and grit. I also find him a slightly more intelligent player. Pyatt gets the nod in the skating department...

Since Laraque came back we're scoring 5X more than the opposition.

Damn i would love to see him play until the end of the season, just to see what's the kid can do. Maybe scoring several goals in AHL will help him...

He should be back soon... as soon as Gainey can get rid of Laraque.

The kid can certainly play on the fourth line with some PK time.

He is according to Gagnon.
Lines at practice this morning:

Cammalleri – Plekanec – Kostitsyn (a)

Pyatt – Gomez – D’Agostini

Pacioretty – Metropolit – Moen

Bergeron – Pouliot – Lapierre – Laraque

Can we consider that Laraque will retire at the end of the season? His back injuries prevent him to play his game

i think its going to be a battle between lapierre and pyatt for the 4t line center spot and if lapierre doesnt wake up he might be the next out since pyatt has been great.
as for white id take him over laraque and dagostini forsure because he plays his role prefectly. but with all the defencmens back 1 forward spot will be for bergron wwho playyed great last night as a forward hitting everything and making some smart plays so theres no room for white for now
