No but reports say he's calling the league and demanding that it be the Pens 100th next year. Or else he'll be reallly cranky

Personally, the cermony blew me away

I could not have imagined it would stir up so many emotions and memories...

They got it PERFECT from the opening, when long-retired Eddy emerged under a spotlight to dump a bucket of pucks on the ice as Roy and Dryden and Robinson and the other greats all hit the ice together for the first time... and probably the last time.

So awesome

Even the CBC had it right, showing it all in silence with no commentary, as none was needed...

Having Gordie Howe emerge with Rocket Richard's number 9 jersey and offering it in respect to the crowd was profoundly moving...

You could just see that it won't be long before Mr. Howe joins the Rocket in hockey eternity

The retirement of Lach and Bouchard's numbers was one for the ages...

seeing these once-strong Hab warriors as such frail old men at the end of their lives transcended hockey itself...

It was about love and about life

The Kostitsyns are still in every trade proposal on these boards so I don't know why you think they're somehow given more slack than Latendresse.

There's a few threads on this board at the start of the season on Pacioretty. One month ago, when he was struggling, 75% wanted him back in the AHL: http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t...pacioretty+AHL

The posters only start giving players a 'chance' AFTER they do something good. For example:

Max Pacioretty (8 points in last 9 games)
Guillaume Latendresse (1 shootout goal, 3 points in last 4 games)
Andrei Kostitsyn (6 points in last 6 games)

That's just how it works on this board.

Glad to say I was never one of 75% of those fans.

The Rangers do, it was apparenly the idea Darius Kasparaitis 4 seasons ago. It's a very common thing in Europe so he probably did it with AK Bars Kazan during the lockout.
