And this game was reason 6,246 why we killed in the Lubo trade.

Can't wait to see Stoll and Greene in the playoffs again.

I also thought JJ had a real good, physically defensive game.
yea im Ivanans biggest hater, but he earned his minutes tonight drawing the penalties and finally squaring off.

Jack was at fault for the lone goal, but was very physical and erased them into the boards all night.

Solid collective effort tonight, this team is tough when they bring it.

I don't know about that -- if the whole game was like tonight's first period, where the Flames were unmistakeably outworking the Kings, maybe you could say that.

However, the second and third periods were a different story as the Kings brought their A game defensively in those two periods, and played a hell of a "bend but don't break" game.

In my opinion there's no doubt now, Parse is not ever going back to the AHL.
I could have sworn someone said the exact same thing about Purcell in the beginning of the year. I'm gonna wait and see about that. He's doing good so far, and I love his play, but hope he can continue it cuz it's a loooooong season.

OK, I've said it several times this year (as well as several times this game...), but I really want to know if anyone else notices how well Scuds chips the puck off the boards...

I hear ya on the long season, but just look at Parse, he is truly playing every game like it's his golden opportunity and really wants to stay in the NHL. I don't see any sign of a drop off in his intensity.

Seriously.

Check into rehab now. I was sitting 2 feet from my 62 inch TV and watched every second of this game. So, what game was I watching? This one.

You wouldn't think its fair to say that Calgary dominated play tonight?

The Kings have been "bending but not breaking" since Game 2 of the season, and tonight it sure seemed like they got by on pure grit and timely saves.

That post dinged by Calgary with about 10 minutes left was godsend, because with the little offense the Kings were generating, it might have been a rough ending.

The PP that resulted in the second goal was by far the best PP I've seen by the Kings all year.

I think they learned from the last game against the flames what it takes to compete against one of the best teams in the league.

A buddy had an extra ticket to a suite for the game but I couldn't go because I had to work a retirement party for the fire chief of Anaheim. Apparently he's a huge Duck fan. They gave him a jersey signed by the team and I had to listen to Parros, Niedermayer and Selanne wish him a happy retirement in a video. I was doing audio and was very tempted to mute it during that stupid video.
Tell me you were whispering "Go Kings Go" in the mic. For the love of God, tell me you didn't pass up that opportunity!

Godsend my foot.

It was the culmination of their frustratio from Quick shutting the door time and time again. Those posts were no 'accidents'.

Though for the record, we got ouplayed for at the least, half the game. I won't count the third, because the Kings did exactly what they wanted. Got the puck deep and clogged up the neutral zone. Sure Calgary had chances, but they weren't the chances they really wanted to have.

One funny thing: at the game, every time someone Moller touched the puck, I yelled "OOOOOOSCAAAAARRRR!!!!!" For the first two periods people ust giggled, but by the third, there were about 4 or 5 people in the sections around me that automatically yelled OOOOOSCAAARRR! every time he touched the puck.

Brilliant.

Sounded like... oh... ummm... 7 people.

Its funny, if 18,000 people are there, 10,000 will yell. If there are 10,000 people there, 10 will yell. And yet, those 10,000 that are at the games no one is at are mostly the same people who are yelling when there is a full house...

...odd.
