Especially since the odds will not be favorable to begin with.

I haven't done a prediction since the last Isles game and one of them came true. Ill predict tonights goal scorers.

Richards
Giroux
Nodl
Briere

4-3 win. Emery still looks alittle shaky but is slowly getting back

Nevermind, I might go all-in on the Islanders if the Flyers get a -1.5 and they havent won a game in FOREVER

Well, the Caps and Habs are two tough teams for Lavy to start out with, especially with a team in shambles. Not throwing out the Islanders, they're a decent team and much improved since last year, but this should be a good way for the Flyers to try and get back into the groove of things and along with the style of play expected with Lavy.

Go Flyers!

We pretty much suck. Add to that Biron is borderline horrific in every single one of his starts. Not looking good for my team tonight. I know you guys are in a rut, but believe me.. we are your perfect remedy. I am almost guaranteeing a win for you guys tonight.

So stop panicking.. our defense is a lottery system - everytime you enter the zone somebody wins. FML.

Good luck tonight, you won't need much of it.

Apparently you haven't seen Coburn's play so far this season.

I'm hoping the guys at least recognize the fact that they got beat by Atlanta, and don't want the Isles to ruin the streak we have going against them.

I just called Lavy and made him aware of this: My boy has only played 9 games this season, but they were all victories. Time to put him back in the lineup, starting tonight

Brendan Witt was hit by a car in Philadelphia; he's ok, though:

Go ahead, make his day.

New York Islanders defenceman Brendan Witt was hit by a car in Philadelphia on Tuesday, according to Newsday. But Witt reportedly picked himself up off the road and, after a few profanities, assured everyone he was all right before continuing on his way, prompting one witness to say, "it was like seeing Clint Eastwood, but in hockey."

Witt was crossing Arch street to get a cup of coffee when a gold Yukon truck made an illegal turn and hit the 34-year-old. Newsday says Witt tried to jump on the hood of the vehicle before being thrown to the ground as he was struck.

"I'm okay," Witt told the crowd as he dusted himself off, according to Newsday. "I've got to go play some hockey. I'm a hockey player. I'm okay. No big deal."

The onlooker was impressed.

"Boy that guy is tough," he said.

You guys are betters too? I'm thinking of betting this game but the Flyers have a ridiculous line: -165. Also, the Islanders have alternated wins and losses for 10 straight games I believe. Are the guys buying into Laviolette's system yet?

Pffff, Ian Laperriere doesn't get hit by trucks. They're too afraid of him.

Somehow I feel like other teams fans with crucify us for this.

They already bring up Santa and the Snowballs all the time. Now we are trying to kill people? In Philly? No way.

betting this game is blasphomy.

With these things considered:

1. The Line.
2. Flyers inconsistent play.
3. Islanders are bound to beat us eventually.
4. In the middle of switching to a new system.

If anything...........all signs point to betting on the Islanders.

That's what I was planning on doing actually. I just didn't want to insult you guys. I'm wondering much Laviolette's system is in place so far. It only took us a game to get into Quenneville's system, but it can take longer for more complicated systems. Any insight?

god damn right we are.

Anyhow, my expectations for this gam is a similar work ethic as last night, a losw 1st, as its back to back with travel, getting better through out the game. Not expecting a win, but i dont expect to be outplayed or blown out. Looking for a tight 2-1 game either way. I expect what we saw last night offensivly. I also would like to see the defense play tighter.
