3. Islanders are bound to beat us eventually.
4. In the middle of switching to a new system.

If anything...........all signs point to betting on the Islanders.
This is an EASY all-in for the Islanders here.

- The line is too good not to take
- The Flyers have been GOD AWFUL lately
- The Isle isnt as bad this year as you would think
- We are in the middle of switching to a new system
- Lavi hockey will take its toll on the players until they are in better shape
- The Flyers played last night really hard, are no doubt fatigued mentally and physically after a tough game and flew home last night on top of it all
- The Isle has had some rest
- if the Flyers win, **** vcash, cuz we WON!!!!

He has stated that he wants to work the system in slow, due to the fragile emotions of the team currently. We're starting to see the D pinching in more and being more active on the rush, but it has lead to a couple of odd man rushes the other way that were costly.

Our pursuit on the puck was good the last game.....for the 1st period. The players wore themselves out and sucked in the 2nd/3rd.

That should get better over time though. The players will get in better shape the longer Lavi coaches.

Remember that thread where people were commenting on how unimpressive the team was on those sailboats?

I'm taking the fatigue factor into large consideration considering you guys are playing in a more uptempo system, and you are playing in the second game of a back to back. That and the Islanders knack for wins following losses are the determining factors for me. Thanks guys.

Nah but I'm a poker player that sometimes tries my luck in betting. I don't see us losing again tho. But I'm gonna stay away from betting this game cause I'll just be even more disappointed if we do lose and besides, the odds aren't high enough...

I know I had a tough time placing that bet. I'm a bit of a Flyers fan because the girlfriend is from Philly. +145 is too good of a line to pass up versus a team that is slumping like the Flyers right now though.

god damn Flyers fans. I can't believe they would hit a player with their car. Flyers fans are absolute disgraces. Is their a thread in the main forum talking about this?

Witt braced himself for impact and attempted to jump on the hood, where he was subsequently thrown off onto the ground from the force of the collision.

Several concerned onlookers making their morning commute gathered around Witt to see if he was okay. In true tough-guy fashion, Witt essentially dusted himself off, hurled a few obscenities at the driver and told everyone he was fine.

"I'm okay," Witt told the crowd. "I've got to go play some hockey. I'm a hockey player. I'm okay. No big deal."

One onlooker (who left me a voicemail describing the event) thought it was a scene being filmed for a movie.

"Boy, that guy is tough," he said. "It was like seeing Clint Eastwood, but in hockey."

Ironically, two members of the medical staff had just asked WItt if he wanted a ride to the Wachovia Centre, but he declined so he could make a java run instead.
Wow, that's a tough SOB.

2-1 Flyers....

We've only allowed 30 shots once in 5 games. That game included a 9 minute pp. Flyers will pay attention to defense tonight but they'll also snap the pp drought. Never thought a 2-1 win against the Isles would sound good.

I want Witt on the team now. Doesn't his salary blow the penis though?

His hair more then makes up for it.

why are people down on the Isles like they are a bunch of dogs? I realize they are the Isles but they are ahead of us in the standings and have played more road games then anyone in the East(well at least the atlantic)
This is not going to be a easy game at all. They need to get the lead and keep it.
The Flyers confidence is at all time low right now, whether or not the players would ever admit it.
if they fall behind early in this hockey game. its not going to be a fun evening.

The Isles suck. That is why people are down on them.
