Well, Canada stomped Finland 6-0. Finland only had 10 shots in the game, I think. Tukonen was pretty good down low and played pretty hard, but he and his team were just dominated by the Canadian squad. Lauri played a lot against Phaneuf and Weber and was roughed up a bit, but he did not back down. Finland played most of the game in their own end so it was hard to get a read on Lauri. The good news is that Tukonen, Nokelainen, etc. are all eligible to play next year at the WJC as '86 birthdays. Maguire said that this year is more or less a write-off for the Finns as they are not expected to challenge for much.
