I became a fan when attending a fellowship at WashU. A friend gave me 2 tickets to a game the year they were last in the league. I had no idea...all I knew was that I had a fantastic time. I'd been an off and on hockey fan before that (usually watched just the playoffs), but I finally had a team.
Favorite Blue: David Perron
Favorite Non-Blue: PK Subban (actually Lars Eller)
Defining Moment: Perron's rookie season I attended a game vs Detroit. The Blues won an intense exciting LOUD game. Perron had two goals. The best was a homerun pass from Wagner (back when we thought he might be an NHLer) Perron caught behind the defense and charged in fro the goal. He also had a garbage rebound goal on a PP. That's the game where JD pumped his fist up in the press box (which I think they still use on pregame footage). Man, we in the crowd were completely ecstatic. Fantastic fun game.
I also shed tears when watching the footage of the last few moments against Columbus when the team clinched a playoff seed in front of the home crowd, capping off a miraculous 2nd half run that started with the amazing comeback vs Boston (Backes' baseball bat goal as the clock ran out). Only those of us who were hardcore fans through the hopeless stretch can ever understand what a special effort that team managed. Its too bad they couldn't make some noise in the post-season, but even so....just qualifying was one of those special stories in sports I'll remember for the rest of my life. I found it personally uplifting and motivating to face my own challenges.
Food: sushi
TV: MST3K, Firefly, Dr Who, Burn Notice (presently)
Why I'm a moderator: Hell if I know. I guess I spend too much time on here and no one else was willing to do it.
Alright then...if we're going to do this...let's DO IT. Here's my entry:

The Perron 2-goaler vs. Detroit and the Columbus playoff-clincher are two of my Top 3-4 post-lockout games attended. Perron's hatty vs. the 'Nucks last year, and the surprise OT winner vs. the Sabres in '05-'06 are also up there.
