Can't belive he is getting sent down and number 33 still has a job. I refuse to watch anymore games with Roszival in a rangers sweater

It's gotta be a trade. I mean... Gilroy hasen't played lights out, but he hasen't been bad either. Not bad enough to warrant a demotion to the Pack.

He played by far the fewest minutes of all the defensemen last night.

I fear you're right. I don't think it's a good sign that the team isn't willing to deal with some growing pains from these players who are obviously ready to play at this level. I hope it doesn't signal that a desperation move to try and right the ship is imminent.

I'm not sure I do either, but $1.7 million has been cleared, and tons of different sources left and right have been saying Sather has been looking for a trade. In my opinion, it's coming today.

Weird.

I mean, this clears room to bring Dubinsky back off LTIR. But that could have been done by sending down Parenteau and/or Heikkenen.

Or getting rid of duds like Voros and Lisin.

This route makes little sense.

Whenever someone accuses me of being a bandwagon fan because of the Yankees, I point to them the fact that I'm a Ranger fan and they are a horribly run organization.

This is just another example. This makes no sense.

That OT goal was all on him. Let Bufflin (?) blow right past him! Terrible defensive effort.

Not surprised by this at all. He's been a completely different player since pre-season.

I think everyone in here needs to calm down and relax for a second.

Let's see how the day plays out. We may have a new player wearing our sweater before the night is here.

If nothing happens by the time we play Buffalo, then we can start complaining!

Hahahahahahaha.

One mistake and you lose the player? He has a one-way contract.

Didnt expect it to hit that quick. only speculation on my part, but i'm in the "this is for a trade" boat. It doesn't make enough sense to be strictly based on Gilroy's performance. The only other thing i can guess at is maybe Torts is upset w/ Gilroy's lack of offense, but i guess we'll find out at some point.

Anyways, i'll pass along any trade color if it comes to my attention. I will provide a word of caution though, i've been privy to rumors that didn't pan out before (not often, but i was told Heatley was just about a Ranger) so i wouldn't consider my source as reliable with matters that involve parties outside the Ranger's organization. Hopefully more to come...

This has to be the precursor to a trade. Makes no sense otherwise. I hope the next step is to waive/trade or vaporize Rozi.

I do have to agree with you there, some time in the AHL will without a doubt benefit his development. He has NOT been the player he was in preseason by any means, he's not playing particularly good hockey on either end of the ice.

.

short sighted move by a short sighted organization.

I am going to the game against Boston on 1/04

I am going to doctor up a brown paper bag and I am going to put black tape across "Rangers" on the jersey I wear.

We have to start sending management a message.

This is down-right brutal

Well Heatley was, in fact, just about a Ranger. The deal was considered finished.
