Okay Brooks has something on his Twitter that something is in the works concerning Rozsival.

Rozi was horrible last night (again). All he does is stand around watching the play and then reach out with his stick in a feable attempt to "defend"

I'd love to see him sent down

Anyways, a few months back i've obtained a source w/ some decent ranger's insider notes. I wanted to test the source's track record first so i could avoid public embaressment, and so far it has been very credible (correct on: Sangs being brought up, Heik being brought up, Vally put on waivers, Prospal being signed and Gilroy and MDZ officially making the cut out of camp) all before it was public news. I'd say the only thing that was a bit off were the Heatley rumors, but it was summer and i'm sure there was a plethora of bad info going around. Anyways, here's the latest (hopefully i'm not embaressed by my first attempt at this, lol).

There are talks that the Rangers are looking to drop Gilroy to the 'pack. He's told me this is NOT 100%, but close. I'd be very surprised in this happening and am guessing it is a combo of last night's blunder and Torts trying to "send a msg," but thought i would pass along. I thought maybe it would be to bring up a dman they want to showcase in a trade (Sangs, Potter, Sauer), but it doesn't seem anyone is being called up.

Also, the pack is looking terrible w/ Vally, so Johnson might be sent back down and Zaba brought up. Hopefully, you heard it here first
A hat tip to you, sir!

Can you replace Eklund?

Meaning 'what are they waiting for to send HIM down'. IDT this means anything about a trade. Yet.

But honestly, imho it doesn't make sense to tweak this team as long as there are these handcuffs called "Drury" and "Roszival"...."Redden" is about to transform from a handcuff to a hockey player.....
What happens if that showcase is in order to move that d-man with that contract?

And he doesn't say anything is up with Rozsival. Here's the tweet:

"Gilroy to Hartford. What's the holdup on Rozsival?"

To me, that's just him making a comment about how Rosie should be going down. Not anything about an imminent move.

no trade is coming, you do realize that dubinsky should be back sometime within the week right? so instead of sending a guy like brashear or voros down, they send gilroy down, keep heinekin, and take dubinsky off of IR. thats it. that is what this move is for. no trade is in the works.

He was on for both goals last night, and got horribly burned on the last one, something that should never happen to someone who skates like he does.

This board is obsessed with the word accountability. They sent a rookie who has been struggling to play a game or two in the A. Not everything is about "sending a message", maybe they thought his game could use a tuneup. Sometimes a trip out of the spotlight lets a young player focus on their game. It worked wonders for Callahan two years back.

Would someone care to give a rundown on all the unfair punishments that Tortorella has given out.

You can't teach an old dog new tricks. Torts punishes the younger players because he can actually have an influence on them, and get them going. Do you think punishing Rozsival will get him going? Turn him into a whole new player? Have him elevate his game to the next level? No, in fact, I'd doubt he cares in the slightest. By sending Gilroy down he's making Gilroy a better player, no question. This was the right move today.

everyone has to stop worrying about stuff like this. if a ROOKIE defenseman makes a few mistakes in consecutive games, look shaken up, and hasnt really been doing what he made the team for then yes he deserves to be sent down collect his game for a month and see what he looks like when he comes back.

the rangers are on the verge of snapping, look at drury's reaction to the game on sunday, he was pissed off and im sure the whole team is. the rangers just need to keep playing at the top and good things will come. i do believe torts does need to keep some lines together and stick with them for a few games.

And he has punished Rozsival. He has benched him, and cut his icetime, etc. But no one wants to pay attention to that, they just want to *****.

Rozsival has actually been playing decently lately, but nope, **** that guy, Tortorella should bench him for being who he is

Agreed.

I doubt we're going to see a significant trade. We're going to get more value for our players when we're sellers at the deadline.
