He goes shelf on Carey several times in the playoffs a few years back, Columbus overpays him too much and everyone (not you guys) thinks he's a great addition... The hell...?
Just wondering, didn't Cammy and Gionta sign here because we got Gomez via trade?
If so, what would they think if he was traded?
That's why he wont actually get traded... Still I wasnt a fan of the trade at the time and still am not... Lame that we had to go get him to sign good players...
I liked him alot in NJ tho, not sure why he just doesnt have same energy he had back then. Maybe he just misses Gio, we'll seeee.

For the money he makes, I'm not a fan either. But to know that because we got him, we were able to sign both Cammy and Gio, makes me forget about his salary hit.
He's definitely missing Gio though. I'd like to see more of what I saw in the first encounter with Buffalo this season, when Gomez and Gio worked together for that overtime goal. Chemistry is there, just have to make it work once Gio comes back.

People who REALLY believe this should really get their heads out of thier *****. No one else was offering Gionta a 25 mil contract over 5 years and its obvious Cammy came for the $ as well.
Maybe WE targeted Gio because we had already acquired Gomez but thats about as far as it goes.

yes then package umberger + for a big strong top center
but i doubt jackets do this i really dont see any team taking on that ridiclous contract fuuuuuuu Sather
Thank god you're not the Habs GM. Hell, if any of you were, this organization would be set back about 50 years (minus the cups from the late 50's dynasty).
