you think Ottawa could land Filitov for Lee? I'm still sceptical on signing young Russians, but if that's all it cost Murray I think its worth the risk.

If this trade goes down and Filatov ends up being better than Kopitar...

I still don't believe he would be able to just come back, nor would he want to.
Maybe he comes back for a chance to play with Alex Kovalev?

They're from December 4th, a week ago so I'd say not very reliable.

Some dude with a blog and a twitter account isn't a reliable source of news? This is shocking.

Hey, it makes sense. Colombus needs d-men, and the posters on their board seem to think a Lee for Filatov swap would be acceptable.

I'm a big Filatov fan.

If Filatov can be had, there's no excuse for Murray not trying his absolute hardest to land him. He would easily become our best forward prospect, and could add some immediate scoring to our lineup. If the Blue Jackets are interested in Lee, we are in a good position to trade for Filatov. Do it Murray.

I don't think Filatov is a Murray type guy, Murray has said he'd like some one a top six guy with toughness who is not afraid of the dirty zones, not exactly Filatov is it?

If murray has plans to acquire filatov, it would obviously be a deal he forsees benfiting the sens in the long term. Filatov won't put us over the top this year but he may in 5-10.

Murray's best asset is his ability to judge and evaluate young players. If he feels Filatov would improve the club I trust him...

That being said, i don't see us landing Filatov...

Filatov may not be a physical force, but he does use his body efficiently, especially while driving the net. He reminds me of Regin in that aspect. He's very good at going wide around defenders using his strength.

I completely agree. We should try and acquire him, he has immense potential. I see him as a Datsyuk/Semin type forward.

Michalek - Spezza - Alfredsson
Filatov - Fisher - Kovalev

Ideal!
