I don't like the "He's going to be out for awhile."

Listening to TM in the interview the injury sounds like a weird one or one that happened in a weird way I wonder what it is. Hopefully not a knee issue.

I wonder who will get the call from manchester...

Although he's LW could Clune finally get the call or will it perhaps be a anutha brutha named King?

I don't think anyone will get called up. They still have Harrold and Drewiske being scratched so they don't really need to call anyone up. Unless they want a real forward instead of Peter.

Considering only one of them was hurt while with the Kings it doesn't really count, but I just wanted to have some fun with it.

"He's going to be out for awhile." That doesn't sound good.

It did sound like it's a long-shot possibility that we might get Smyth back tonight if Murray can track the Dr. down before the game.

Every time Los Angeles King fans get a little excited and happy about their team, it's like the Hockey Gods say "How did we allow this to happen??? Rectify this at once!!!"

LOL

I mean, this team is facing a lot of adversity and being successful thus far, but I'm actually more scared about the loss of Simmonds than anything right now.

And I thought the injury bug left LA with AM....

On a crazy thought.. Jones as a forward..? S***, they're doing it with Harold.

Bummer. While Simmonds has been fantastic this season, I think everyone is overreacting a bit. We lost Ryan Smyth and kept right on winning. He's about to come back as well. Injuries are a fact of life in hockey and teams have to play through them. So far, this team has proved capable of doing that this year.

Don't forget they have an 8 day break coming up, too.

i agree. it definitely isn't the end of the world. we and more importantly the team needs to realize that and it's a good opportunity for others to step up and split the difference... anyone can answer the call, it really doesn't matter.

Why not Parse-Zus-Moller and Harrold-Richardson on the 4th with a rotating RW? That would seem to make more sense.
Agreed. I mean what is the point of playing him on the fourth line with Ivanans and Harrold?

I still am of the opinion that Terry Murray just doesn't like Oscar Moller.

Damn. Losing Simmonds is really bad. He's been one of our best players the last couple of weeks.

The difference is, TM has confidence in Harrold's ability to play defense whereas, Jones is somewhat of a defensive liability.

Great opportunity - this is exactly what's going on with the Monarchs right now. Guys are stepping up that a year ago, we had never heard of.

I would think that Harrold would play more than 7:46 a game if Murray did have that confidence.

As for Jones, he has received more ice than Drewiske per game, so more often than not Murray has confidence in Jones playing in any situation, right or wrong.

Unclear how long he'll actually be out. We don't even know what the injury is, so pressing the panic button is a bit premature. However, I suspect groin injury.

rumor has it, at least according to a Wayne Simmonds' Facebook stalker, that one of his friends mentioned he was on crutches.

i suspect a broken foot.

Alright, elephant in the room time.

Isn't it obvious what the injury is? It is to me.

Simmonds dong has just been growing out of control. A growth spurt no man has ever experienced, and all from pure will, no extenze.

This elongated shlong has clearly been obstructing his skating, and during a shift it busted free of his cup and smacked him in the leg and sprained his ankle.

Its the only logical conclusion.

That's because Harrold is primarily being used as a 4th line forward and not the dman. There's no sense in trying to make a forward out of a dman who's already a defensive liability, which Jones is and where Harrold is not.

Yeah, he showed a lot of confidence in Jones in the 3rd period of Sharx game.

I think Jones see more ice time because we need him on the ice to score.
