As for Jones, he has received more ice than Drewiske per game, so more often than not Murray has confidence in Jones playing in any situation, right or wrong.
i think that were the offense not struggling across the board, Jones wouldn't be leaned on this much right now.

the difference tonight is between Harrold and Drewiske because Peter can play up front. it appears as if Moller is going to center that 4th line, but i suspect that Harrold will end up in the pivot by the end of the night simply because he IS a defenseman.

Simmonds dong has just been growing out of control. A growth spurt no man has ever experienced, and all from pure will, no extenze.

This elongated shlong has clearly been obstructing his skating, and during a shift it busted free of his cup and smacked him in the leg and sprained his ankle.

Its the only logical conclusion.
We'll call this one, the "LSD" theory.

Anyone else?

interestingly enough, Brown's lack of sack has enabled enough... wiggle room for him to completely avoid this phenomena altogether.

I hope you mean "Leg-Slapped Dong" theory and not that I'm on drugs.

The drugs have nothing to do with this....

It didn't happen during the game is what irks me about this. I am going to be furious if it's an Erik Johnson-type situation as opposed to slipping and falling in the rain.

TM said he is going to see the team doctors tonight at/after the game. This happened last night if I had to guess. Young kid...in LA....Friday night....I'm really hoping it wasn't something stupid because he is a key component to this team.

If it is indeed a broken foot then say goodbye for 4 weeks.

Lol. See, it all fits.

Or in Simmonds' case, it doesn't.

Don't forget they have an 8 day break coming up, too.
I agree with this, but Simmonds was a big reason for that winning. I'm hoping pucks start going in for Fro. He's been playing emotional and motivated and if things start going his way, it will go a long way to keeping us winning until Smyth and Simmonds come back.

... But if that were the case, you wouldn't see Jones on the PK. But the fact is that Jones plays about a couple PK shifts per game, on the average. Harrold has played less than 4 minutes total on the PK all season.

Actually, when Harrold came up, he had the rep of an offensive defenseman and somewhat of a defensive liability. I don't see any evidence that the Kings feel any differently about him now, except to say that they've lost most of their confidence in Harrold's offensive ability.

... Well, there's that exception for sure, but more often than not Jones is playing in nearly every situation. If it was all about Jones' offensive output, I think he'd be used as more of a specialist on the PP and shifts when the team is behind. But he's played 20 minutes in games where the Kings have had a lead nearly the entire game. Outside of an exception or two, it's pretty clear that Murray trusts him.

I think Murray doesnt trust him, but TM is constarined by the need for scoring and Jones plays over Drewiske as a result. DD44 is far more positionally sound and shut- down in his style than tortoise Jones will ever be.

Hopefully it's not a sports hernia... Not that a broken foot is much better.

would a sports hernia necessitate the use of crutches?

Purcell, Harrold and pick to Carolingus for Ray Whitney and Tommy K.

Kings just got a whole lot softer.

Can we call up Clune now or trade for Raffi Torres or Dan Carcillo?

Terry Murray is such a freaking pessimist when it comes to player injuries....every freaking injury he says the player "gonna be out a while" even if hes always telling the truth, say it in a different way or something...and smile already...i get depressed just looking at him sometimes

If it's a broken foot, he shouldn't be out 4 weeks. I've broken my foot 3 times. Each time I've been out 2 weeks tops. The break should be plenty of time for him to heal.
