Yeah, I agree about Phaneuf, even if I'm a homer like everybody else regarding Kostitsyn. His play during the WHL ADT challenge was really good. Certainly one if not the top D prospect in the world to keep an eye on in the next few years.

On the other hand, Kostitsyn situation is exceptional. It's going to be his fifth WJC and he has a central role in the fate of his team, much more than Phaneuf in Canada's stacked squad.

Agree.IMO that's the main reason why they putted Kost , 10th on the list.

Kost will have to score a lot of goals to help him team. He'll have some offensive help though (guys like Zakharov , Voloshenko will maybe help him).

Anyways , I'd put Crosby #1 because the guy's 17 and He's already a big part of the team.

Only because Malkin and Ovechkin are hiped up from many people and from being 1st and 2nd in the draft.

Sportsnet's list is just as good as anybody's.
Personally, my #1 is Crosby, then Kost, then Ovechkin.

Actually, I think this is from the Canadian press. TSN has the same list up at their site.

From all reports, the Winnipeg fans were awesome. They were going absolutely nuts and very involved in the game. You might have them mixed up with the World Championship crowd in Toronto.
