And not to shea's credit he has 3 penalties, and could have had a 4th throwing a punch at someone.

Change to the goal. Jones with his 1st.

Good thing Legwand scored before I was able to post my thoughts on his recent scoring... I wasn't going to be tremendously complimentary.

Way to be Leggy! 2-2!

I didn't have a good feeling on the game, but more optimistic now! GOOOOO PREDS!

We can't handle Bertuzzi? wth? A bunch of shots, a goal, draws a penalty. (Although we scored on the pp from his slashing...)

Come on!

A few decent chances on the end of the PP but no goal.

I hate giving the Wings a point. We can't give them two.

seriously though Klein, thats the play on film that you dive and stick check. The one you've probably seen 80 times before. It's not!! the one that you try to jump behind the streaking Bertuzzi, you're obviously outmatched skating since he just beat you to the puck!

Wow. That was...bad. Luckily we get a point which we had to hustle hard for. Hard to deal with such a crappy OT when we've usually been pretty strong in that department.

I don't agree with this one bit. I thought, over the course of 60 minutes we we're the more dominant team. We ran their show the 2nd and 3rd.

Nobody said that, in this thread. ? I'm the only one who even mentioned we should be able to do a lot better on him, he was killing us all game. And yes, I was angry about that.

I have no idea why I was concerned when Leggy and Ward were the first skaters out there, but I did not have a good feeling. Still, that was even faster then I expected.

GRRRR.

Oh well. One point anyway. Hurts for Detroit to get two points on our ice, but crap happens.

What did everyone think of the Dumont, legwand, Jones line tonight. From what I saw they dominated the play almost every time they were on the ice. Jones seemed to be everywhere.

If nothing else I discovered that if you threaten to follow a drunk Red Wings fan to his car and damage his tires so he can't drive home under the influence he will get really quiet, really fast.

I completely agree, this these 3 were phenomenal together. And Jones was the exact player that won the spot last season and got a 2 year one way contract. But at the same time...I'm not ready to abandon whats got us this far because of 1 over time loss.

Edit: Not saying you want to change the lines, just adding my own thoughts to the end.

Im surprised no one has commented on the refs, we got called on ticky tack stuff and the Red Wings got away with plenty of holds, 2 high sticks and a blatent trip on Dumont. They also seemed to be scared of a fight breaking out and broke up absolutely everything, though Bertuzzi is quite a sissy and wouldnt fight Jones.

The other thing I noticed is why do we still try to poke check Datsyuk and Zetterburg, it has never worked and their deking leaves them open for monsterous hits if we would actually follow through.

We can't win them all and sweeping the Wings is probably a pipe dream, but I am confident in saying from top to bottom we have the better team.

Please explain to me why Bertuzzi should fight Mr "2 pts on the season", Jones.

Its Jones' job to goat other, better players into a fight so that they are gone for 5 mins.

I am sure that Wings fans everywhere are quite happy Bert did not drop them with some 4th line schmuck, seeing as he did end up scoring in OT. Who knows if that happens had he dropped them with a 4th liner.

Legwand taketh and Legwand giveth away.

really, brutal time for Legwand to give the puck away at his own blue line.

and what in the world was Klein doing? Hack the jerk down if you have to for crying out loud.
