You got 11 minutes to spare?

Hey, not sure if this has been posted or not, but I watched this video of Kevin Lowe touring Kevin Smith (Silent Bob) around Rexall. Thought it was a good watch so if you have 11 minutes check it out.

I love smith but i can't help but question smith's sudden love for the oilers..i think the oilers and him have worked out some sort of marketing arrangement with him to give way to twitter promotions and stuff...

everywhere you see him on TMZ or on TV he's wearing that same oilers jacket with all the patches (which looks freakin awesome and I'd love to get my hands on something like that)..

if he was a fan from back in the day i could understand, but suddenly ditching one of the most successful franchise since the 90s that ALWAYS ices a good line-up every year for one of the most mediocre franchises of the past 20 years is quite strange..

yes, like any storied franchise oilers have a huge world following..but the kevin smith thing is weird and it could be some sort of marketing gimmick..

kevin smith is legit, he talks about it in some of his q&a sessions and stuff, its been going on for over a year now I think... he watched boys on the bus and that kind of stuff and he fell in love with the franchise (and gretzky) ... can't say i blame him. I've even seen him talking about it with some interviewers who don't know anything about hockey..

I watched an interview with him a few months ago on the nhl network, he stated he was 50% Devils fan, 50% Oilers fan, and he dream Final would be the 84 oilers and 03 Devils. He had on a similar jacket with devils on one side and oilers on the other. He's from new jersey, he is working on a hockey movie so I wonder if that has anything to do with it!

He probably was an Oilers/Gretzky fan in the 80s, but being from the New Jersey area, once the Devils got good, he likely felt an allegiance to that team.
