I'm happy to see all of the Parent love in here this morning. Obviously for my man crush i've had on Parent since last season, I watch closely everytime hes on the ice. He makes so many subtle nice plays that go unnoticed. Talk about bringing the best out of your D partner, look at the game Timonen had.

Parent >>>>>>>>>> Coburn..

Notice how Kimmo's game drastically changes when being paired with Parent.

The best part about last night's game was actually seeing SUSTAINED PRESSURE in the offensive zone. That was enjoyable.

Hartnell is such a goon. I love em, but I really wish he could turn down the stupid.

I still am curious to see what Hartnell did exactly, they never showed a replay.

It looks like he slashed him, and Recchi went down like a raggedy ann doll.

Yeah the only replay I saw was the one posted up there. Not the best, and if you don't know what you're looking for, it's a lost cause.

There was nothing on the broadcast, so I don't think it's coming any time soon. Just pisses me off when they don't show replays of stuff that happens.

That penalty was the right call. You get your stick up that high and its going to get called every single time.
You dont need to do damage when getting your stick up on another player. Hartnell was beaten along the boards by Recchi, Hartnell got his stick up high on Recchi and the call was made. A beer league ref could of made that call.
It was a stupid, needless, lazy penalty.

I'll defend the use of stickwork in general, but there's just no defending the timing on that play. Players need to shed the 90's mentality where you need to bleed to draw a penalty if it's overtime or the last few minutes of a close game.

That said, Recchi howled like a ****ing sissy.
