Trading Halak, alone, is useless IMO....he's almost worth more to the habs than trading him for a draft pick to another team. If i'm Gainey (and I often like to think I am lol) i'd package Halak + pick + young roster player to get full value for Halak
Halak told Bob, I wanna PLAY, whether I'd be IN MONTREAL OR ELSEWHERE. He asked Bob to decide.
This is not the first time to happen either, and Halak is still with us since the last time it happened.
On another note, BG is giving exclusives to Raymond again now? It's been a really long time, maybe now Graymound will stop ******* the Habs at every turn.... or did he just make this up (I would be surprised).

I think the best bet is to keep him for now. We don't really need a 2nd rounder if that's what BG is implying. We need someone who can help make a difference now, or else it's his ass on the line like it's been since the start of the season. We should also wait and see if Carey Price is back for good first, then we can maybe move Cedrick Desjardins to back him up if we let Halak go.
PS. i do agree that Halak should get his chance though to be a first somewhere.
I hate players asking for a trade... its not to up to them
Don't trade him then unless its a good value.
Disappointed in Halak... thought he was a team guy
I don't think he's being out of line...he hasn't DEMANDED a trade, he justs wants an opportunity to play as a #1 goalie, whether that's in Montreal or elsewhere...and he's asked Gainey to accomodate him if that chance can't come in Montreal.
Halak has been a great team guy thus far...can't knock the guy for wanting to play
