Pouliot is a fine handling the puck. He's not the most creative player in the world, but he definitely has a presence out there if he wants to. He has a good shot, and although he doesn't have blazing speed he has a pretty damn good top gear. When he's on stride he's a beautiful skater.

He has all the tools. It's up to him if he's going to put it all together.

To ANYONE who has seen Benoit play, they should realize that skill and talent isn't in question. It's his desire and motivation.

I guess they wanted so save some dough. I can't understand why they would throw him back in Hamilton for a conditioning stint if he isn't even conditioning?

I'm starting to really question just that... I thought he mentionned last week he hoped to play a couple of games before playing his old team when somebody asked him when he thought he would be ready to go. It sounded at the time like his return was imminent but over a week later, he still hasn't suited up - even at the AHL level to "test" his wrist.

This guy has yet to play a game in any level of the Montreal Canadiens organization. Shouldn't we wait at least until then to judge Pouliot? If he's injured, he's injured - are we blasting Gionta?

If I'm Gainey, I bring this up at the next GM meeting, a team sending you a player saying "he's probable next game" and he's actually out for over a month.

In any other business, that's a lawsuit.

His father who has since past on RIP, even stated that Benoit biggest obstacle to be successful would be his drive and passion, hopefully Montreal can be that driving force to inspire passion into his game.

They knew they were getting damaged goods, they have team doctors and could have given him a physical to see how far off he was. This is a case they would lose.

I believe they knew what they were getting, the objective was to get Latendresse out as soon as possible and to get value in return. They did that, only thing is they have to wait longer for their return.

I have no problem waiting if the return is good, but the issue here is getting lied to. Or the terrible Minnesota doctors, which sounds unlikely given the world's most renowned hospital is located there (Mayo Clinic).

Montreal isn't going to go just on the Minny docs.
