I don't think Brodeur will get a shut-out contrary to what you guys think. However, the Devils play a DISCIPLINED, DEFENSIVE GAME and rarely give up shots (Brodeur sees an average of 20-25 shots/game), so that's basically the opposite of Montreal's type of game! LOL

Montreal needs to stay out of the box (haha!), pray that Price stands on his head, and hope that the first line can pot a couple of goals if they want to win. However, Cammy doesn't score much on the road (for whatever reason)...so maybe Andrei Kostitsyn can score instead??

P.S. Price career average vs New Jersey is very high at 0.933%. However, Parise has also scored on him each game. Parise tends to crash the net and get those rebound goals, and Price absolutely hates traffic in front of him. The Devils in general like to crash the net so they will definitely piss Price off. It really depends on Price's mood, sometimes he looks passive and unconfident, sometimes he looks agressive and confident.

i.e. If we can score 2+ goals on Brodeur, it is very possible that Price will turn away the other shots. Trust me, if you've seen the Devils play the last few years, Brodeur lets in A LOT of weak goals. The only reason he isn't called on them is a) plays in NJ (less media attention) b) his team in front of him is good and is able to out-score the opponent.

This game as disaster written all over it:

1- Brodeur needing 1 shutout to beat record
2- NJ least penalized team (94) vs Habs most penalized team (151)
3- Habs least road PP (39) vs NJ 14th most PP at home (69)
4- Habs are 2-24-5 in New-Jersey since 1995
5- NJ won 8 of their last 10 games, Habs won 3 of last 10
6- NJ on a 4 day rest vs Habs 2 day rest

I don't know guys I'm not feeling this one at ALL.

You do realize that was when the team fell apart, right? The second half of last year's season was a total disaster. With all the off-ice (Kovalev, Kostitsyns) and chemistry issues. Plus, Price's regressing play due post-injury. This is a different team with different players. Cammy and Kostitsyn are legit scorers with lethal wrist shots who are working hard (opposite of lazy!) right now.

Brodeur hasn't been playing as godly as people think. His stats are inflated because he barely sees any shots/game (around 20-25) and was outplayed by Emery, Ward, etc in recent playoff years. Ask any NJ fan. His team in front of him has made him look much better than he really is. At 37, it's hard to sustain a good level of play due to slower reflexes, so I'm not bashing him, I'm just telling the truth.

If MTL shows up, they should be able to score on him, no question.

Statistics aren't everything. Washington was able to come back from a 2-0 deficit to beat New York in the playoffs, which rarely happens.

Minnesota finally beat Calgary the other day in Calgary! They hadn't won there in years.

Buffalo finally beat us at the Bell Centre yesterday (they hadn't won at the Bell Centre for a while now).

I could go on and on......

Brodeur is NOT god. If we could score 3 on Ryan Miller (who is out-playing Brodeur by miles), we should be able to score on Brodeur unless the first line falls asleep or gets injured during the game.

Shut out for Brodeur.

Habs win 1-0 in the shootout, though.

Our record in NJ the past 15 years is beyond hilarious. But tomorrow we are scoring 5 goals, probably for the first time ever in NJ.

Akost with 4, Gomez the empty netter.
