#1 - Halak basically asks for a trade and Gainey coming out and basically saying that he's not worth much on the market right now -------- it's not time to trade him now.

#2 - In the coming months, maybe Price will shine or falter, maybe a #1 goalie elsewhere will suffer a season ending injury or suck big time --------- consider trading him then.

Very few teams right now need and value Halak.

Flyers? Sure they could use him but why would we help them gain or pass us in the standings... and for what? A second round pick?

Lightning? Same logic... although I would probably ship Halak and Gomez there for Vinny!

I would however trade Halak to the Oilers for Cogliano or O'Sullivan.

Deslauriers is just 25-years old and playing great (.914 SV%, 2.64 GAA) while Khabby is signed for what, 4 years? The Oilers aren't really a team n the trade talks at this point, IMO.

Khabby might be out for the year.

I think Halak will end-up to Edmonton or Detroit. Specially with the situation of Khabilbulin who's out for a while.

Yesterday on L'Antichambre they discussed the poor value associated with trading goalies. They doubt Philadelphia would give up Giroux or James Van Der Beek. James Van Der Beek would be huge. That way Joshua Jackson would sign too. He was money in the Mighty Ducks trilogy.

roflmao that is THE single best post this year. Who would play Center between Van Der Beek and Joshua Jackson?
