who are these guys??

Admirals starting O.Proulx??,N.Lutz??,J.Ralph??
then the recent callups Harrison,Campbell,.......Kotyk in goal

no shishkanov,no wyatt smith,no klein,no upshall,no finley,no suter,no brown,no yablonski...need a scorecard to keep up here...5 guys starting who weren't on the roster two weeks ago,and three of those weren't on the roster day before yesterday in fact

haydar takes a shot off the face and has to leave the game in the first

lol q-master,wish that were the reason, but i'm betting has more to do with shishkanov and finley playing poorly, brown being in oblivion,upshall-klein-yablonski definitely injured and suter being off at the juniors tournament....but keep those positive vibes going,it is after all christmas

putting this in offensive perspective..as of right now the admirals have now scored 100 goals this season..the guys that have scored 38 of them(counting haydar now)aren't playing tonight...hard to do without 38% of your offense

another admiral personnel note was the guy they called up last week to replace suter,Brian Bonni, came up and evidently played very well,+4 in only three games with an assist last game..he was released today(why they called up lutz evidently)...the reason was he requested it...first metuecci then this guy ups and quit mid season..kinda makes you wonder about some things

Toots with over 100 PM and Smirnov with a goal to give the Ducks the lead.

to be honest, losing at home to the team with the second worse record in the conference stunk...uninspired is probably the closest word that comes to mind..stats tell the same story...a team averaging 33 shots a game gets 22 against a weak team, playing at home, despite having 8 power plays(0 for 8)...only people that sounded really active were gamache, fiddler, and tootoo honestly

of course at one time late in the third trailing 2-1,the Admirals on the ice were a front line of Harrison,Proulx, and Ralph...with Campbell and Lutz back on d and Kotyk in net...not exactly what you would expect or hope to hear....i guess the optomist could say it was the Rockford IceHogs that lost to Cinci last night, but that wouldn't be fair to those guys, they played as well as any Admiral did

kotyk sounded like he played well, the winning goal was the result of the Ad's going for broke at the end of a PP there in the third...had 4 forwards and Hamhuis out on the PP and they got caught jumping in the play from the blueline and gave up a breakaway to the guy coming out of the box

hope this isn't shattering shishkanov's or finley's confidence..this struggling and riding the pine...segal has now gone 10+ games without a point himself...not a warm and fuzzy way to head into xmas here
