Sangs on his way back up (confirmed)

Hearing chatter Sangs is coming back up, but not hearing if Heik is going down. Maybe carrying 7 d-men? Continuing to showcase players for a deal?

If you go 2 for 2, you've already won more credibility than Eklund.

Sam had mentioned during the Atlanta game Redden appeared to have injured himself, anyone heard anything along those lines?

$40mm says he checked that site and then said he's hearing "chatter" haha

either way, good to see him get back up. This season is a joke and I'd like him to get some seasoning for if/when we ever get a real team together.

p.s. I hate Chris Drury

You have been right twice. The skeptical hfboards community will now work their hardest to destroy your credibility.

Good that Sangs is getting another shot, maybe some PP time. Team isnt in a hurry to go anywhere anyway.

I wonder what's the deal with the backup situation. At some time Hank is gonna have to take a game off, but I can hardly imagine Zaba would be the one playing. So why aren't they switching him with Johnson? I guess Lundqvist is gonna play all games till the back-to-back games at the end of the month, but I'm not sure if that's the best thing

I heard it as well, but wasn't Redden on the ice afterwards? I thought it was nothing serious.

Maybe Redden is banged up...but it's not like I'd be shocked if Heikkenen was sent down. Hasn't exactly looked great.

As well has Redden has played you mean to tell me in the few games hes been back we were un ****ed? I dont buy it lol.

Short of Ansimov taking off and putting up a ppg over the remaining 50 or so, Dubinsky scoring at a good pace now that hes back and this defense not playing like a bunch of rookies we really have no shot.

The problem is that outside of him, who's going to play defense? It'll just be Staal back there with a bunch of either rookies or retards.

At least with Redden, there was a semblance of defense.

When Gilroy was sent down it made more sense to replace him with Sanguinetti. I think the only reason that didn't happen was because Heikkinen was already up with the team and they wanted to look at him a little more. Clearly, given the drop in TOI, Torts is not in love with Heik.

If Brooks was right, Sather has tried to trade Sanguinetti at least once already, so there may be some truth to the "showcase" idea. However, I just think he's just a better substitute for Gilroy than Heik is.

I hope Sangs gets a good look though, and I hope he delivers. No more of this scaredy-cat-offense stuff.

Yeah Torts have to play someone. Heikkenen has not been getting a lot of ice time probably because he's a rookie. And with Sanguinetti now up one of them has to get some significant ice time. Whether Tortorella likes it or not.

Ah alright, must have missed it, or rather on capgeek it's Zaba who's listed as being with the Rangers and Johnson with the Pack.

I believe they're calling him up and sending him down over and over for cap space... I could be wrong though.

Could be that they want him to get experience playing a lot of minutes in Hartford, while also giving him a little taste of the NHL for a few minutes a game several times, which hopefully calms him down enough that he can get to view NHL as being "normal".

That said, he hasn't scored in Hart since getting sent down.
