This week? I should just go with a weekly poll when I'm struggling for ideas. Do you mean I have been coming up with some good ones so far?

Hope you don't mind me chiming in...

You know when you get that feeling that the other team is going to score. The players feel that too when you struggle against a team.

We couldn't beat Detroit for a long while and there was a game we toughed it out and it was tied in the final minutes. You just knew in your head that Detroit was going to score. Denis Gauthier tried to execute a simple play and made a tape to tape pass to Zetterberg in the slot and game over.

Same thing last night...the Oilers got caught chasing Kings around which isn't characteristic of NHl teams. O'Donnell lets fly the simplest of shots and for whatever reason JDD sits back in his net and it gets by. If it is the 1st period of a game maybe you see JDD on top of his crease where he should be and make the routine save. He was just playing too careful.

When you haven't beaten a team in awhile players tend to tighten up at the end of the game trying hard not to be "the guy" that costs you the game. Unfortunately, those players end up being the Gaut.

I hate playing Vancouver. If they score the 1st goal, you might as well just turn the TV off. I think the players can let that creep into their head as well.

Sounds like an interesting day at practice:

dantencer: Only Penner, Nilsson, Potulny, Grebeshkov, Gilbert, Deslauriers and Dubnyk out right now on the ice...

dantencer: Rest of the team now on the ice except for Souray, Visnovsky, Horcoff and the injured players.

dantencer: Quinn has the team in a circle and is giving them a similar speech to what he gave the media last night...

dantencer: Lots of teaching going on today...more time on one knee in front of the white board than anything else so far.

comment about the CHL now paying players under the table

The sky is blue and earth is somewhat round

Payment to the players in junior is nothing new. Some of the better players have had no-show jobs for years

I think he meant the sarcasm as for Eberle making the team being unexpected. Which it was. As for the hand waivin' you are absolutely correct. They aren't even hurtin yet.

Also in news today. Joffrey will not be able to play for team Canada at the olympics as he is expected to be out for 6-8 weeks.

Alright, alright. This was a post for the sake of posting.

Pretty awesome stuff also the two latest:

dantencer: O'Sullivan and Quinn aren't even remotely on the same page with each other. Some GREAT audio from today's practice. Tune in tonight!

dantencer: Staios says Dustin Brown should be "completely ashamed of himself" for his dive late in the game last night.

I'm pretty intrigued by what they'll have for us.
