I cant believe that Rosy and Drury are still playing. If torts wanted to make a statement than drury would have been sitting.
They're still playing because most of the benchings have been more related to costly mistakes rather than lack of production. Roszy's put togehter a few very solid games, Drury's still fairly invisible but he's his usual self in terms of 2-way hockey.
When Drury was out this team was noticeably worse when it came to team defense, how quickly everyone forgets though.
Or put him back out there playing 3rd line minutes, not on the PP, at least for a game or two. He got in Torts' dog house a while ago and hasn't received decent minutes since. I'm not a huge Kotalik fan but I just think that there are other players that have to be held just as accountable. I don't want guys like Drury to think that because Kotalik has been getting benched & scratched that he's the reason why the team is losing.
The team is losing because they can't score more than 2 goals a god damn game. The same problem that Renney seemed to have last season when everyone was calling for his head.
Kotalik is the worst even strength player on this team.
Better yet, leave Drury in, strip the C off him and give it to Dubi. Him, Gaborik and Hank have been the only things worth watching the last few games (danny G was great last night too).
A few Isles fans in our section last night said they love the kid and don't understand why hes not wearing at least an A. Couldn't agree more.

pathetic.....i will never root for the rangers unless it directly puts the islanders in the playoffs--i find it hard to believe sathers future with the rangers hinges on this one game vs the islanders....he will lose his job at some point....dont ever root for my islanders--i think most of your fellow ranger fans would agree

Say what you will about Tortorella. But this is the best thing he's done as coach here. Let's get what we paid for out of these candy *****. The country club should have been closed by now.
I don't keep it a secret that I like Torts and hate the personnel around him. But he should have done this a long time ago. If he could scratch more players, I bet he would. This very well may just be a cycle of players.
So no Chad Johnson in nets tonight? Permit me to strongly disagree on how the goalie situation is handled right now. That's pathetic, Lundqvist will arrive at the Olympics totally worn out.

He's the only person on this team who has some snarl and bite to his game. He carries the puck really well and we're starting to watch him blossom.
If he's our future captain (which im sure im not alone in believing), **** it, give it to him now. It'll never happen, I know, but I cant think of anyone whos more deserving than Dubi or Hank to have the C (and Hank cant wear it on his jersey) at this moment.

After the Olympics there'll be still 20 games to play. The way the staff is handling this situation is a pure joke. We'll be lucky if Henrik is not injured before spring.
With the article in the local paper up here folks are getting excited to see Johnson play tonight….. There’s going to be a few disappointed folks in Fairbanks.

sorry to invade but weren't most of you saying how much this team was hurting when Redden was injured? He is overpaid but IMO he should not be the one to sit for your team. I have a bad feeling and don't see the rangers playing that bad again. I think Drury will get a goal and so will duby but this is coming from a negative Islander fan.
