No, no, no. That's not the way we do things. It's Coburn and a pick for Jones.

If by 100% you really mean Hartnell is:

-centering passes to no one that result in breakaways for the other team
-taking absolutely horrible and lazy penalties
-providing zero offense and turning over the puck at a phenomenal rate
-hitting people (for some fans, this is apparently enough to make up for everything)

... then you basically have an undisciplined 4th liner with slightly better hands making $4.25 and playing on your top lines. But it's ok, it's Flyers hockey!

Funny thing is, I like Hartnell. He has just been BRUTAL to watch. Carter is creating chances, Richards is turning pucks over but being good defensively but Hartnell has been awful.

I like Hartnell. F THE HATERS. And FU EJ.

Oh and your last point is hilariously true on these boards. "If you can hit and fight... your a winner in my book!" Skills are overrated

I like him too, but Hartnell has been terrible with the puck. Can't pass at all. He just needs to plant his ass in front of the net ala Knuble and wait for the right opportunity.

Remember, last year it was a consensus that Hartnell really was earning his salary. Maybe he's trying to do too much.

I'm a huge Hartnell fan, but can't deny the fact that he has been terrible as of late. This team lacks discipline and he is one of the biggest problems. Getting him and his salary off our team would be a step in the right direction.

Don't get me wrong. I enjoy watching him play and think he's a very comical guy, but unfortunately the pros don't outweigh the cons.

What about all of the GOALS he scores?

I'm souring on Hartnell a bit myself. The negatives may be surpassing the positives but he's definitely a good player. He just has plenty of flaws.

I like how Hartnell has gone from one of the best forwards on the team to the absolute worst in less than 1 month.

In all fairness, you could put like 90% of the team in the category of "worst forward on the team."

Eklund put on his twitter that after last nights game, the Flyers have decided to put any moves on hold until after the holidays.

Common sense really, I don't see why people pay for his BS ...

Works hard every shift, is 100% for me.
Like I said he is giving it every game.
Whole team is in a scoring slump.
I say before we start to bash someone who
is making an effort. Perhaps look at Pronger,
who by all accounts fits into everything you just said
except for the salary part.

You think Pronger is giving 100%?
He was the one who was suppose to take us to the promise land.

The guy is a scam artiest. It's quite sad people pay for that web site.

Laviolette isn't looking for a trade.
Here's the link to the article HERE.

I should've made myself clearer. I ment the general consensus that seems to have emerged in this thread. Personally, I'm not a fan of singling out certain players. It's still a team sport.

Hartnell's penalties make him an outlier.

I kinda agree. A single stupid penalty provides about 4-5 GOOD chances for the other team. This team should be serious about cutting down on the penalties.

update from Eklund

Quote:
Sources from within are telling me that the Flyers are willing to wait a little while longer here before making a big deal. They are willing to allow Laviolette's system a little more time. This being said, I can't stress enough that there is a VERY short leash here. All could change very quickly and Holmgren has thought this out and already has deals he is willing to make should this team continue to be out of the playoff picture.
