I disagree with Bobby Mac on this, but if he gets his info from Pierre McGuire his perspective is not surprising. Lats earned more than what he got. I'm not surprised at all they like him in Minny.
Lats was the only young Habs player to never see Hamilton. At the very worst he would get benched a game or 2 and then be inserted back in the line-up. He got more chances than anybody else on this team but screwed them all up, and now he's acting like a ****ing baby and blaming everyone else than himself. His honeymoon with Minnesota will be a short one if he doesn't grow up because as soon as he gets comfortable there he'll be good ol' Lats again, just like Mr. September was always good at training camp for the Habs and always sucked once the season started.
He never showed enough talent, grit or determination to get more (top 2 lines, PP time) than he got in Montreal, good riddance.
Not to be a dick but I'm in a bad now and can't think of calling out a certain poster who called me out.
Wasn't S. Kosty being recalled supposed to turn us around. He has what, 3 assists in 12 games now, 3 hits and a -4.
Yeahhhhhh okay! We should have traded him when he had some value. Case has been rested.
disagree. The same way Pleky was bad last year cuz his linemates weren't helping, SK is playing smart hockey and making some good plays (sometimes his vision is better than who he's playing with..dago I guess), but that line just can't seem to put it in. The only place goals are coming from are his bro and Cammy. It's not like the rest of the team is lighting it up. I'm glad SK is with the team again, but for the love of god, the whole team needs to bury their chances! Story of the season - missed opportunities and the other team having a golden touch.
He got more chances than anybody else on this team but screwed them all up
The problem is thinking that. He didn't screw up, he was bumped down mostly because guys came back from injury or, with JM, because he didn't fit in the coach's vision and the coach was unwilling to adapt.
Lats was a productive forward for the Habs. His usual self, should JM be able to use it properly, would be a huge asset to this punchless team.
Gomez looks like Kovalev did two years ago. A lot of skating that makes appearance of actually doing something productive.
Oh I agree, but he still made a nice play on Kostitsyn's goal, and created some chances and had some decent shots on net. Eh, nothing exceptional, but you could pick about any of his last 10 games to bash him other than this one. He played a little bit better tonight than usual.
