Definitely not a fun time to be a Mooseheads fan. From what I've been reading in the local papers, Cam Russel will probably move out a veteran or two, but Tomas Knotek, who has the most value, will only be moved if he wants to go, or if they get some insane Marcel Patenaude type of offer for him.

I wouldn't call Gelinas a # 1 goaltender.......he's a hot goaltender not a # 1

Theres a differnce

Who are the #1 goaltenders in the league?

D'Orso
Audette
Clermont
Allen
Tardif
Poulin
Girard
Lemay
Delmas
Gibson/Gusse
Dunnett
Dopud
Owen
Cousineau
Champion
Roy
Corbeil-T.

Gelinas is clearly better than some of these starters...

Anyway, my point was that keeping an overager on the bench would be insane.

In return, they will get a great defensive and physical defenseman plus a 1st line foward. They could keep Delisle next season and they would just have to send one of their top foward. Anyway, I don't think they target the cup next year...

The rumors are that... I just replace "unknow player" by names...

The only reason Quesnel got traded, because he broke the team rule, playing with an over ager's gf. Anyway the eagles will grab lagace thats it maybe amyot but would rather piette(?) thats about it . But lets face it Halifax beat the dogs tonight, and riopel gets sent back to moncton. Its going toget interesting. P.E.I should bring Quesnel for duffy and a 3rd can't lose

Gabriel Bourque to Moncton for Raphaël Bussières and a first pick. Another first pick if Bourque comes back next year.

Good move for both teams.

Along with adding the best goalie in the Q for free. This is really going to help them, alot. Imagine Bourque playing with Brannon, hardest hitting line in the Q right there.

It sucks for both Cape Breton and PEI... I don't see any of those teams winning against St John/Moncton in the first round...

Should they sell now?

If the playoffs started tonight, the matchups would be:

Val D'Or vs Rouyn-Noranda - Rouyn wins

Montreal vs Gatineau - Gatineau wins

Bathurst vs Drummondville - Drummond wins

Shawinigan vs Victoriaville - Victo wins

Baie-Comeau vs Quebec - Quebec wins

Chicoutimi vs Rimouski - Chicoutimi wins

Cape Breton vs Saint John - Saint John wins

PEI vs Moncton - Moncton wins

And then it would be:

Chicoutimi vs Saint John

Gatineau vs Drummondville

Moncton vs Quebec

Victoriaville vs Rouyn-Noranda

Of course, a lot of things can change until then.

LMAO Adam is not going anywere especially to Moncton. They dont have enough to trade to land him and wouldnt give up that much. If any could trade with CB for Adam, i would say Saint John would be that team because of Kirkpatrick, hometown boy going back to play at home would definetly bring more people in their. But that rumor to Moncton is just plain out Hilarious....

WOW! So your telling me that you would have no interest in LBD, Donelly, Bisonnette, Melindy or Leblanc as part of a deal for Adam? Not that you would get all that but to say Moncton has nothing to trade is rediculous.

Laszloo is your typical homer.. although I can land understand him wanting his team to land Adam and not Moncton..

Anyways word out of Moncton is Gabriel Bourque deal is official and there will be a press conference at 1pm local time tomorrow to announce the deal:

To B-C:
  • Raphaele Bussieres
  • 2010 1st Round Pick
  • Conditional 2011 1st Round Pick (If Bourque returns as a 20)

To Moncton:
  • Gabriel Bourque

Im also hearing Moncton is seriously pursuing adding more, whether that includes Adam or not I don't know, but I'm sure they've shown some interest.

Still RUMOURS that Moncton has worked out a 3 way trade with R-N and Rimouski for Cormier.

Bradley MacDonald has been traded from Victo to PEI. Not sure who / what is going the other way.

After trading both 1st round picks. I don't know if the Eagles would be interested. Saint John would make much more sense where you could get Aiden Kelly , some picks and give back a pick for Despres or Kirkpatrick.

Looks like Moncton could be a tough team in the second half of the season. Gabriel Bourque will be a great pickup after he returns from the WJC and should bring an immediate impact to Moncton's offense. The return of Riopel is also good news for the team, because you're getting a top goaltender back and aren't giving anything up in the process. If the Luke Adam rumors are true, they are definitely going to make a legitimate push for a championship. It seems that Cape Breton might end up being sellers after all, which makes this trade seem more realistic. It will be exciting to see what happens tomorrow and over the next few days with trades. Some of the bigger ones might not be officially declared until after the WJC tournament is over.

I don't think Saint John would have any qualms about offering Kelly or Sock (16 year-old D prospect), Kirkpatrick or Despres at the draft, and a 1st for Luke Adam.

We don't want kirkpatrick in cape breton hometown or not. It would have to be kelly, 1st rounder, despres at the draft. Mario said on local radio lastnight that if he can't 2 forwards we are gonna sell
