FSOhio Off Time Warner Cable Jan. 1?

Reuters report:
"News Corp warned that testy carriage negotiations with Time Warner Cable Inc could leave viewers unable to see programing from its Fox broadcast network, including it blockbuster hit "American Idol" and NFL football."

"there is a "very likely possibility that Time Warner Cable may choose to no longer carry Fox Broadcasting, Fox Cable and Fox regional sports programing," Fox said."

Time Warner can't afford to lose NFL and the number 1 rated show in America.

I am not worried at all.

Yeah I'll be pissed if I have to miss House. Not having the Jackets would suck too.

This is what happens after an awful stretch like the one the team is currently mired in.

Time Warner messed around with the Buffalo Bills broadcasts when they took over Adelphia two years ago.. Many fans switched to DTV and those that didn't put up such a fuss Time Warner caved..

I think Comcast is the company that will evenually be the big player in sport broadcasting.. I can't remember the team but I recently watched a sport broadcast (from out west I think) and it was announced that Comcast was the new provider, Fox was dumped.

A little bickering between major corporations, I see? I'd be surprised to see FOX lose this one.

Well Comcast owns the Philadelphia Flyers team, Versus, and has broadcast contracts for the Avs, Sharks, Blackhawks, and Capitals among others.

I find FSN amateurish in comparison, and would be happy if the Jackets move to Comcast.

Don't care. Cable companies don't let me chose which 10 channels I want, and force me to pay extra for the channels I don't watch. (Yes I understand why, I used to work in the cable biz, no I still don't care)

Cable companies are dinosaurs. I already get all the entertainment I can handle from Over The Air, NetFlix, NetFlix Streaming, Hulu (yes I now know it's owned by a cable company and will go away) Gamecenter Live, and some awesome news video podcasts and I have $80 extra dollars in my pocket every month.

I miss Discovery Channel, History Channel, TLC, and DIY, but there are other sources for that info.

The world is about choice now. Chosing what you want to watch, when you want to watch it, how you want to watch it, and where you want to watch it is what the Internet brings.

And Cable companies are trying to keep us locked in their controlled world.
