Laraque failed to drop with Boogard, the real heavyweight champ. JM won't put up with that ********. Laraque is done.

Laraque challenged Boogaard on the first shift and Boogie declined. Laraque didn't play most of the second or any of the 3rd period...can't blame him for that.

I find pretty useless to fight in the 5 first minutes of a game... I would prefer hit to fight when the game start to slip to the other team or the other team start to intimidate us... It's usless to fight in the 1st minutes of a game.. totally stupid...

but I agree that Martin didn't use Laraque to give him some chance to prove himself...

Might we see Greg Stewart back in the lineup?
he'd have to go through re-entry waivers.

Anyway, I hope we see Pouliot in action tonight. I wouldnt have mind Laraque playing though, he always seems to fight against the Islanders

No demotions, but call-ups are permitted.

No he wouldn't. His AHL salary is low enough to exempt him.

Where they're put and how much they play are two different things.

Also, Markov may be God to us, but he shouldn't be made to play 25 minutes already.

Jesus is playing for us.

If it's a call-up from Hamilton, the player then can't be sent back down before the 27th and stays up during the 4 Habs games ...

Laraque play 2min per game...we were already playing with 11 foward so not having anybody else in the lineup dont change a thing....jsut make more room on the bench

They talked about it on the radio..Don't know if it has been mentioned here (probably). But apparently, Laraque told Boogard at the beginning of the game "If you wanna go, let's go now because I won't see much ice in the 2nd and 3rd". To which Boogard said "Naah, I'll probably play more than you this game, not worth taking 5 minutes". Or something like that. According to CKAC.
