From Duco? I don't think so.

Don't get me wrong. I love Duco's intensity. But Richards doesn't back down as a general rule. If Richie does turn down Duco, then there is a medical reason that has been covered up (one of his shoulders not healing properly would be my guess).

I'm not the only one that has noticed that Boucher has played stellar, especially in comparison to the rest of the team. If the rest of the team gave him the support (both offensively and defensively) he deserves for his latest play, I have no doubt this team would be pushing for the division lead.
I have this fight with my dad all the time. A goalie gives up one unstoppable shot and he's after the guy's job. I just absolutely refuse to watch any sport's game near him anymore. He's ****ing impossible.

Anyway, I'll be there tonight. I'm feeling optimistic, but not getting my hopes up. And CG, I completely forgot about Booth, and I have a feeling Richie's definitely gonna have to watch himself out there tonight. Yikes.

Maybe... But the goalie problem in Philadelphia is major than that. I'm talk for long therm here. We need that concession player like the Penguains have in Fleury or the Rangers have in Lungvist. The goalie is the #1 priority of your team execpt if you're are the Detroit Red Wings and we're not... Remember Martin Biron in the playoff against Montréal. He won that series almost by himself helped by the young Price. But in long therm I think Price will be the goalie the Flyers does'nt have. Carter vs Price and picks in a trade right now : If my name is Paul Holgrem I'm working on that right now...

I think Boucher was'nt bad but was'nt amazing just like Marc-André Fleury did last Thursday or Lunvquist Saturday. Just imagine if Boucher made the big save against Christ Drury when his team going nowhere and keep this game 0-0.

But I'm agree with you, Brian Boucher deserve this win Saturday and againts Pittsgurgh too.
I agree about the Drury goal, but I can't fault Boucher for that goal. I can fault Giroux 100% on that goal for a horrible pass that landed right on Drury's stick. But in the amount of time that it took to get intercepted and a quick turn shot by Drury, as close as it was, Boucher wasn't given much. That shot should have never taken place in the first place.

He has, but really, considering he keeps losing games, I give him a lot of credit for keeping his confidence up. Most goalies would be discouraged and would probably start giving up softies (See Ray Emery, whether you want to say the injury may have caused some of his softies is another discussion). Every goalie will give up a softie now and then, but even those I won't hold against Boucher as much as I hold against the rest of the team for not rallying when those goals (or any goal) is given up.

Boucher just isn't getting goal support, the same thing happens to pitchers in MLB

Edit: Any word on Powe returning? It's been like 5 weeks since his injury (right?) and I'm pretty sure they said 4-6 weeks.

As a matter of fact I didnt.

For the other guys saying I have never seen Richards play or bad attempt, I am sure I have seen him play live just as many or more than any of you. He was my favorite player, but this year I can't help but be down on him. He lacks heart and the will to win, maybe he needs to be dropped. Looks like the tin man out there.

Sure he seems to be lacking in the motivation department right now, but you're ****ing blind if you think Richie shies away from fighting. And if you're arguing about that, keep in mind that's not his job out there, but he'll do it if he has to.

Yes, you've watched more games of Mike Richards than most of us, I bet.

On a sidenote, I hope Richards does fight him and drops him, might spark the team little bit, maybe.
Just pointing out the fact that Richards usually never backs down from fights so saying some call up is gonna challenge him and Richards is gonna back away doesn't make much sense. Especially coming from someone who "has watched him just as much as anyone".

Btw: Get off my nuts

Bet not.

But I will agree that there is definitely something going on - this uninspired heartless player is not the Richards we've come to expect. The Richards I've watched for years hates losing more than he likes winning, and will do everything in his power to win.

If the Cats are as obsessed with revenge as some of their fans are, tonight could get ugly. Who knows, maybe Macintyre will get regular shifts.

Let someone else fight Duco; Richards in the box for 5 for fighting some scrub is a minor victory for them.

I have a feeling Richards is injured and trying to act like Smith by playing it off like it's nothing. Just a hunch.
