I just had to mention it because there was an article on the Flyers site about Legein. Imagine a JVR-Giroux-Legein line. Scary and fast. Maybe next season?
I think they were on the WJC team together. That's the only time they were on the same team, to the best of my knowledge.

So, he even said he would want to work with him again. Even so, they at least had chemistry somewhere, not just a random player he just got thrown in with. Still, Legein is pretty good scorer in the AHL, I hope he can bring it to the NHL. Replace Asham's spot next season on the JVR-Giroux line, since Asham will be an UFA. I know off topic. But I really can't wait to see Legein play in the NHL. Maybe the new age Theo with less drinking problems? But yeah, I have a really good feeling about tonight. I really hope Gagne puts up points than any other player on the team tonight, probably because I'm more of a fan of him than any other player on the team haha.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what Legein can do as well. He's 100% heart and soul, and I was very glad to see the Flyers trade for him.

I'm hoping SOME Flyer puts up a couple of points tonight. I really don't care who. But "a couple of points" is the key!

I don't think so, but he may have worn an A. I think maybe Alzner wore the C?

Legein was definitely the most vocal on the team, and funny as hell (interviewing Tavares as vintage Gino Reda slayed me). And he was the one who counted down the number of games left while singing the anthem each game. I love the kid.

He played a 3rd/4th line energy role, which is perfect for him. From the games I saw in the OHL, he's got enough hockey smarts to play a more offensive role mixed with some sandpaper.

I think a moved should be made.

Let JVR take a breath in AHL for a couples bus trips to know how good he has it and let Legein skate a couple with the big club too see where he is at in his progression because he looks great in the AHL.

How about we move Mika for a real heavy weight?

I actually think we play like a team again tonight. Rack up some goals, play smart and hard. I think we give up very few chances. This is the game that we look back on later and call it the turning point. Things are going to change I can feel it.

We need more fighters? You know we cant score goals right? Whats the point of getting more guys that cant score goals?

I'm enjoying the panther fans hate. Not that I want to see it in our thread, but it makes it more interesting. Good for them.

I guess Lavi wants to give the lines a few games to see if they take, which is probably a good idea. But if we still suck after tonight I'd really like to see Gagne on JVR's line with Giroux. I have a gut feeling Gagne and JVR could feed off each other. One's got to be chomping at the bit because he hasn't gotten a chance to help right the ship, and the other is floundering after being fired out of a cannon. After a rookie has a great start like that he's got to be dying to get it back. Just seems like a good match.

Carter-Richards-Carcillo
JVR-Giroux-Gagne (not his natural position, would it be a problem for him?)
Hartnell-Briere-Asham
Pyorala-Betts-Laperriere

I realize Carter and Richie have been squandered together before, but you have to try to create a spark somewhere. We need to pile up goals against someone not called the Islanders. It will probably start with one line.

I also think Briere would do well with 2 tough/energy guys. His strength this year has been his meanness. Why not let him go with that by making him more comfortable doing it.

As we get closer to game time, if someone could post a link to the game that would be helpful... thanks!

After the Booth incident, I'm saying it's more than likely that the Panthers are going to come out hitting. If the Flyers lack motivation and puss out, they're going to lose this game pretty quickly.

No clue. But if he's hiding with the Flyers' testicles, we won't be finding him anytime soon.
