When Gaborik was on the Wild, he could not really shake his image of being a selfish player. As a Wild fan and a Gaborik fan, I never thought he was selfish after the team became a little more established. In the beginning, yes, he was because he felt he had to do it alone when he had no help. He's rounded out, matured and his assists tend to be close to his goals numbers. I've always thought that some Wild players needed to be a little more like Gaborik and shoot more instead of making that extra pass.
Are there talk among Ranger fans about Gaborik being selfish? Or are most just grateful for any scoring right now?
I would think that right now, Ranger fans don't have the luxury of even thinking that Gaborik's being selfish when no one else on the team is scoring.
Would like to know what you think.
He definitely doesn't come off as selfish. He shoots when he knows he has the shot, and always makes great passes especially down at the net for others to score on.
I mean honestly sometimes you see him on the PP passing TOO much and at some point when he realizes everyone else is going to just keep dishing it back to him, he tries to find a sweet spot.
Call it selfish, skilled, whatever, as long as he keeps scoring I'm gonna keep:
