They're both in the same age bracket, one is 1981, the other 1980. Similar size... 6'1, 198 pounds to 6'3, 198 pounds. Both are regulars on the national team... similar production in international games.
As of today, their numbers in Europe are almost identical...
Hossa: 15 points in 27 games Kukumberg: 16 points in 30 games
And they're both expected to be playing in the NHL as soon as next season starts. The Maple Leafs drafted him in the 4th round because they expect him to play as a regular as soon as the season resumes.
Not saying Kukumberg is better, but Hossa should be at a totally different level based on his talent.
They aren't the same size, age, skill level, they play different style from each other, they play in different leagues, and one has played 59 games in the NHL. But they are both Slovakian, other then that I don't see that they compare all that well. Comparing by numbers is pointless imo.
