I'd maybe give it to Lidstrom. Him and Lidstrom... I could go either way. Oh well, congrats Marty

Well deserved. I think what Brodeur will ultimately be remembered for, aside from his cups and success, is his longevity.

Is there anyone discussed/debated more on the main board than Marty? The raging hard on a lot of posters have for the guy is comical..

Not surprising, and well deserved. The NHL knows who the real MVP is even if the writers never figured it out.

HFBoards should really get a like button. That would cut down on a lot of posts.

And congrats to numero treinta!

How did Lidstrom do? One has to think it was a pretty tight race between Brodeur and Lidstrom. Marty's getting a lot of attention right now because of the records, but when you look at the facts, not many players dominated their position this decade the way Lidstrom did.

Not to take away from Marty, but I hope it wasn't a landslide, because it shouldn't have been.

Just read the article, they made great points, good to see Lidstrom and Marty were the clear dominant players.

Too bad he didn't get the MVP award when he originally deserved it.

Its amazing to me how any player that comes from NJ gets so much crap compared to the love players get from other teams. I always joked that it was everyone vs NJ, but it really is. Marty deserves all this praise he gets. Congrats Marty.

I think Niedermayer deserved it over Brodeur, and that's why neither won it.

Please not the 2003 Conn Smythe debate again.. I'm gonna lose my mind if we bring up that again....It's something that I'll never accept or recover from. But I just don't want to go there again..

Very good choice by nhl.com.

We're the Rodney Dangerfield of the NHL, we get no respect.

Giguere getting the CS in 2003 was a crime. End of story.
