It's definitely not on the USA site, but neither are the cuts, yet.

It would be nice if true.

Final roster has been announced. Looks like all 3 rangers prospects have made it as expected.

Blueline is a little soft. I thought Nicastro was going to make it for sure. We're awfully small up front too.

Canada is playing the Czech Republic(Roman Horak) tonight. TSN is broadcasting the game. It might available on their site.

Right side of the page. There is a link. It will probably be blacked out outside of Canada.

Scratch any talk of Ivan Baranka returning to the Rangers organization

Quote:
D Ivan Baranka (Everett, 2003-05) has signed a two-year contract extension with Spartak Moscow (Russia KHL). The extension takes the contract through the 2011-2012 season. Baranka has three goals and 12 assists in 31 games for Spartak this season

A bit dissappointed. The 10 or 12 times I saw him in play live in Hartford, I thought he looked real good.

Eh...whatever i guess...

Wisconsin returned to the ice yesterday for their first practice in two weeks. Derek Stepan,2 other Badger defensemen and their assistant coach are with the WJC team. Wisconsin is playing in a weekend tournament against Merrimack and then either Ferris State-Yale.

http://host.madison.com/sports/colle...cc4c002e0.html

It's a big 3-4 month stretch for Wisconsin. Tons of expectations. Many players will be turning pro after the season. It's now or never.............

Quote:
Where we are going: National Championship or bust in my opinion. I know that is a lofty expectation but the talent level on this team is second to none. Like I've stated many times, this is the best cast of defensemen EVER assembled at this level. Offensively Blake Geoffrion has taken it as a personal challenge to have the best season in his hockey career. Derek Stepan looks like he is going to be an absolute star and is going to have a HUGE second half after tearing up the World Junior Championship. If our goaltenders continue to play like they have been, which has been nothing short of brilliant overall, there is no reason why we cannot challenge for a title.

18 regular season games remaining. They have the WCHA tournament and the NCAA's.

Doyle has been a disappointment so far. Maybe getting out of Prince Edward will help him.

Thoughts on Scott Stajcer from tonight against Niagara

Stajcer was outstanding tonight. He really won this one for his team. Made several key saves in the first two periods to keep his team in the game, robbing Andrew Agozzino point blank a couple of times. One was a very nice save as he slide cross crease to rob a one timing Agozzino (who did fail to elevate the puck though). His rebound control was very strong tonight too. While Owen Sound has struggled with consistency, Stajcer has been largely effective for the last couple of months (after starting the season very poorly). Here's hoping he can continue to play well and that Owen Sound continues to climb up the standings of the Western Conference. He was the game's first star and took the win.
