I don't find the ISS as some sacred doctrine like some people on HF Boards do. I look at them more as a 31st NHL team who lets everyone know what they're thinking.
The ISS certainly isn't sacred doctrine.

Individual NHL teams determine their values differently, and there is much more to the draft than just defensemen, goalies, and forwards.

They do this for one reason only. Goal differential is a tie breaker rule. Right now Canada is leading the Swedes in the goal differencial.

Cant blame the team, blame the guys who made the rules.

16-0 for Canada isnt a bad start at all!!!

Its unfortunate that we dont have any prospects in the tournament. Some teams have a couple on Team Canada alone.

Wow. I saw the first goal of the game and I thought the Czechs were playing them well. Apparently I saw their only good play!

3-2 USA. Take the lead on a nice shot by Stepan.

Well, there was also the play where they scored.

I wonder if this time last year Paul Holmgren thought he would be watching Luca Sbisa playing in the World Juniors.

I'm not blaming the team at all, it's just really uncomfortable to watch. I have to say, I wasn't too thrilled with some of the Canadian players who were whooping it up after scoring. Not cool when it's a team that is so outclassed.

They didn't look all that thrilled running up the score.

Did you watch Canada/US last night? Holy heart attack, batman! Canada down 4-2 in the third and then gets the win in a shoot out!

I felt sorry for the US goalie. He didn't deserve to lose that game.

Canada played like crap for about 50 minutes, and then pulled their heads out of their behinds at the end.

Jordan Eberle is unreal. And Ryan Ellis should have been benched. He was brutal.

They need to play better in the semis, or they're not going any further.

Ellis should have been given player of the game...for the US! He was beyond horrible.

What a nailbiter.

God I hate the shootout.

No way Canada plays that bad for 2 periods again. Not knocking the US, they played an excellent game and probably deserved to win.

When I saw Willie Desjardins looking like Stevens behind the bench early on with no emotion, I got a bit worried. They needed him to calm them down because they looked scared and he seemed detached from them. He got a bit more animated as the game went on and I hope it keeps going because he has to take charge when things are going badly. Ellis was just awful and it seems most of the defensemen are going for the big slapshot which is fine but they need to realize if players are blocking shots, they can't keep doing it.

Russia and the Swiss are in OT. For those unaware, Switzerland are without Sbisa and Roman Josi, they're both hurt

It is good to see that the WJC is getting some more attention. You won't be disappointed with the level of competition and the speed of the game.

I am surprised how good the Swiss are playing without some key defense.

Same thing happened last year against Russia when one of their players got greedy for an an empty net goal.

It seems we have many @sses and rabbits.

And that's why we love him here in P-Town!!! Can't wait for him (and Luke Walker) to get back. Hawks have been playing really well without him and Walker, so when they come back they'll have a team who stepped up in their absence.

HOP SUISSE!!!
