After 2 weeks of Parse coming up I noted publicly that almost every aspect of his game dropped considerably. He spiked back up for a 3 game stretch but then got lost on the ice again afterwards. That's typical of a kid coming up and sending them down is how you build consistancy.
Yep, this is exactly what happened.
I view the assignment in a positive light. In reality it shows that Parse only has minor things to work on, he's pretty solid in almost all aspects of the game. He's got really nice hands and when he wants to he can be tenacious. He's not going to physically move players off the puck, but he seems to have a knack for taking the puck away from others along the boards. If he keeps improving with quality minutes we could have a real gem with him.
The thing I noticed about Parse from his first game was his excellent passing skills! The guy has more skill passing the puck than many of our regulars! Hello Capn' Brown! This is the area guys like Brown should be working very hard on and of course the super duper Drew Doughty.... stop hitting the open man which turns out the be a guy on the wrong team! LOL
As far as Scott P. being sent down I do understand this move and you guys covered all the reasons very well the ones TM mentioned and the ones he did not! Good job guys...
