1. I'll reiterate for the last time. Don't trade Halak. **** his demands, the guy is a key player and has been one of our top prospects for years. I don't care for the controversy, we get 82 games of solid number 1 quality goaltending instead of 70 or so, that's fine with me.

2. Andrei Kostitsyn and Thomas Plekanec are so ****ing good. So is Andrei Markov(and Halak), notice the trend? All from the DRAFT. Keep Timmins for rounds 2 to 7, get someone else for round 1. Gomez was real good tonight, I liked his game a lot.

3. One thing I've noticed from Markov. He's been through 5 coaches and has always just played his game. Thank god for that, don't ever listen to those morons Andrei.

4. The system needs to change. Some things are real good, the special teams, the little smart plays, the positioning, the neutral zone play, but this is 4 years running for martin for worst PP/PK ratio, his sytem is terrible, it causes no offensive chances for us, and a million for them. I'm not waiting for him to adapt, he had 3 years with Florida.

They work hard, but they can't move forward with mediocre goaltending.

That's what they got tonight and most nights.

Halak played great tonight but holy **** he gotta work on those rebounds. He made things much more complicated for himself...

Ugly win, but I'll take it. And send JM the wiki link about FORECHECKING

You have to wonder if there's some method to this madness. I doubt it, but...

Or maybe Markov has magic powers?

Nice to get the win and all but there is some serious issues offensively and defensively with this team.

I am not sold that Hammer and Gionta are whats making this team not tick. You can't keep relying on the goalies to make 40-50 stops night in night out. Just not a recipe for long term success.

That is like 10 goals in 11 games for Andrei Kostitsyn. Big goal. Halak is carrying this team.

PS- won lots of v cash tonight!

Liberal use of the word domination.

The Habs outplayed those two teams and their special teams were killer, but I'll never classify being outshot by a 2:1 margin as a really good effort.

yeah there is no method. Chalk it up to the last four wins in which 3 were against terrible teams in which they were dominated and the goalies saved their bacon.

we played like **** but I don't care, we won 4 games in a row on the road. Halak will play next game and right now he's number 1.

Kostitsyn with the OT goal and the epic celebration

yup, i would even go as far as habs special teams dominated and thats about it.

At even strength, they were being controlled by the opposition.

Exactly, those shots would be cut by a lot if he could suck a puck up off the first shot.

Montreal did not deserve to win this game. We will nontheless take the two points. Horrible game by Gill, Markov, Cammy and Pacioretty. Good job again by Halak. He's got to thank his friends the posts though. Great game by White and Kessel for Leafs.

Martin has got to come up with some plan to reduce the number of shots against. Toronto had 49 shots. Ridiculous.
