How many shots did you count the Leafs get off of rebounds?

Least deserving win of all-time.

We were brutally and totally outplayed for 55 minutes. We outplayed the Leafs for the first five minutes and OT. That, and our unbelievable goaltending, was somehow enough tonight.

But... I really don't know if we can keep this up.

Either there's something terribly wrong with our personal, or there's something terribly wrong with the coaching system.

Markov is back now; we have Pouliot back now; so at this point, I'm not listening to injuries as an excuse for putrid play any more.

Gionta and Hammer are good players, but they're not so good that they should mean the difference between the team completely sucking and the team playing Ok.

4 road wins, 8 points, goals 15-6, pp 9-15, pk 19-21 ... shots 99-186

Just hoping there's method to this madness.

I agree the rebound control is not exactly stellar, but it wouldn't have mattered anyways with the number of face-offs we lost tonight. Halak was BY FAR the best player on the ice.

Huge win. Can't believe we stole this one...

Any win against the Leafs is a good win!

Man, you guys robbed us again! I hate Halak, hopefully he gets traded soon. He looked like Luongo out there.

Considering once we get a lead, no matter how much time is left we sit back and try to hold on, even if the game is tied.

Once gio comes back, it should help get Gomer going and keep some momentum going. Honestly, putting Laraque, Lapierre and D'agostini on after the other team scores a goal is ****in' ridiculous.

If I were a leafs fan I'd be pissed. I'm a habs fan and I'm still pissed.

One thing I noticed, everytime the habs break out they dump the puck and change, there was no forecheck, always peeling off the ice, I dono if it's the system or cause they're tired from being in their zone the entire shift, but it's gotta change.

I think they will have a decent impact...

I do think Martin is playing extremely conservative with only 1 scoring line, we actually outshot teams when our Top 6 was healthy?

We'll see.

I know it was a tough game for everyone with the traveling and all today but they spent way too much time out there.Anyways hopefully it's better in Ottawa,no Spezza and Alfredsson, pretty good time to play them

Do you mean take it, give it away, then hook/hold/trip the opposing player, get a two minute minor make it look like you're coming around, then get hemmed in your own zone during 5 on 5 more than when it's 5 on 4 ?

Congrats on the win guys.

Not trolling here, and I'm sure many of you agree, but the Habs relied way too much on Halak. He's standing on his head, but if if he falters then there could be trouble. But hey, that's what happens sometimes. Your goalie steals you a win. And thats what happened.

Next time ..

Not many games we won this year that Price or Halak didn't steal us the win

I think the 4th line played VERY well tonight. No joke. They started off really strong and tailed off a bit, but they were aggressive and kept the puck deep for the most part. I like that.

Martin has got to come up with some plan to reduce the number of shots against. Toronto had 49 shots. Ridiculous.
I disagree, Pacioretty was one of the only forwards for us that had a little success in the offensive zone and Markov made quite a few nice plays, 2 of which led to our goals. O'Byrne on the other hand was putrid.

If Halak falters then Price takes over. We're not the Leafs, we have two good goalies.

You're right.

Right after we got up 2-0, it's like we went into a complete defensive shell. Does Martin honestly think that trying to kill off 55 minutes of hockey as though it was one big permanent penalty kill is a good idea?

Agreed.

Yep. Least enjoyable win I've ever watched.

Oh well... 4 straight wins on the road, and two or three against teams we may need to beat out for playoff spots... that's great.

But Martin has to drop this coaching system. The law of averages is going to catch up to us eventually if he doesn't.
