Is CSN not allowed to show the entire interview after the game? I hate how they ****ing cut away. I don't give a **** about the life of Al Morganti, let alone anything he has to say.
They should have PPV versions of regular season hockey games where the announcers are uncensored, drunk, and total homers. It would be great. And naked chicks during intermissions and maybe some drinking contests and pot smoking.
I haven't had the luxary of watching too many games this season so I can't comment on his play of late. All I can say is on that play seen in isolation from everything else, my opionion is that Pronger played that as well as could have been expected. If your expectation is that Pronger makes godlike stops in the defensive end covering two guys at once then sure, it was Pronger's fault.
No need for godlike stops, just stop being mezmerized by the puck like a rookie and check HIS MAN standing along in front of the net. That goal was on Pronger, and his bad pass to Coburn led to the other one.
Notwithstanding that, both Coburn and Timonen outsucked Pronger by a long way in the 3rd (all I saw).... Kimmo isn't capable of holding the blueline or checking anyone lately.
Wow, Carolina hasn't beaten the Flyers in regulation since December 19th, 2006.
Their record in the past 4 seasons against us: 1W-3OTW-7L-4OTL
Atlanta's record is WAY worse. Don't know it off the top of my head but wasn't it 13 straight losses until this season? Lots of shutouts by Niitty in there, too.
ANyne hear the interview with Hartnell on 610 after the 1st period??
He admitted the team was a bit out of shape, guys were playing for themselves, and people- himself teh main culprit- are taking way to many lazy penalties. Then he said Homer came into the lockerrom be4 the game on the 23rd and told them no one knew was coming and no one was getting traded, so its up to them to turn it around.
This is the difference between the Flyers and a good team.
Not conditioning.
Not system.
Not discipline.
Not effort.
Not heart.
Just a roster chock full of guys who can't close.
this year it sure feels like it at least, there's been so many times during the losing streak where i just can't figure out how players reach this level and cannot put pucks away that seem like they should.
