Pick a Duo for your team (salary cap matching)

Which Duo would you rather have on a team with roughly the same salary cap hit?

Take into account age, contract, and cap hit.

I left off Toews and Kane and Datsyuk and Zetterberg because I think either duo would run away with it if included.

Edit: Sedins are actually 12.2m.

Kovalchuk isn't signed past this year, I tried to pick duos that both had contracts that lasted at least 3 years. No telling how high Kovalchuk's cap hit will be next year.

Sedins. Malkin is better than both of them, but Kunitz is worse and moreover, Sedins have great chemistry.

Funny fact. Last season - both duos combined for 164 points. Kunitz scored more goals than Henrik Sedin and Malkin scored more than Daniel.
The year before, the Sedin's combined for 150 points. Malkin and Kunitz combined had 156, Kunitz again with more goals than Henrik and Geno with many more than Daniel. With this in mind, I would probably go with Geno's super star game breaker ability as the tiebreaker.... if I had even had to think about it in the first place.

If Geno only had a winger as good as Kunitz regularly (a physical 50-60 points forward who hits and plays great D), it'd be swell. In 45 regular games with the Pens Kunitz has 37 points. Alas, Geno's regular wingers this season have been Fedotenko and Dupuis.... against Ottawa the other night was the first time this year Malkin got Kunitz and Guerin. They had 11 points combined. Malkin with a hattrick and Kunitz a 1+3 night, Guerin 2+2.

Sedins, if age wasn't a factor I would have picked Alfredsson/Spezza though.

Malkin and Kunitz

Sedin's

everyone else

Malkin by himself is worth more than both of the Sedins.

Malkin/Kunitz

I'd take Malkin over all of the duos in this thread even if it means taking Kunitz with him

You're really struggling to understand the concept of this thread. Do Plekanec + Cammaleri make $12M? No.

I would take Malkin ALONE over any of the duos on that list.
