I'd Mo sent out. But I will throw Pothier into the mix, even though he is injured. I'd prefer Pothier gone over Jurcina. I think Juice had a stronger playoff than he did, and is more durable. if we move one of those two righties, mind as well move the injury prone overpaid one.
I guess there is zero chance we move a right and a left and summon Carlson. But really I dont see Mo or Pots being the key to a cup. Nor do I see one or two young defensemen hindering a cup with Ovi around.
And really, I don't think they should. Trading one of the plethora of defensemen is great, but if they move two they're starting to lose some of that luxurious depth at D, which is such a key to teams who are trying to make deep playoff runs.
This team is great because it's deep. Don't trade that away now.
Random talk of Toronto on Twitter. Whether that's CJB having two series of talks, separately, or talk of a three-way deal... who knows?
People are tossing names like Alzner, Kaberle and Filatov into that mix, but apparently doing so without basis. Any names seem to be idle speculation right now.
TheFourthPeriod: "BTW as of now, Alzner isnt going anywhere. Hes been told he's not playing tonight bc other player needs ice time, not bc he's on the move"

Yeahhh....this team would give one of their players that much info. Suuuuurreee.

Yeah, I don't buy that. I mean, I could definitely believe that this is exactly what is happening, but I don't buy for a second that Alzner is feeding anyone that information, especially not the Fourth Period guy. That's just speculation that sounds believable, but it's believable because it's a conclusion that your "average Joe 12-pack" could have come to logically on his or her own.

Well, Alzner to CBJ, Kaberle to WSH, and Filatov to TOR... sort of makes sense to everybody... and that's why it's good grounds for everybody to speculate..
From the little quote about CBJ talking to a 3rd team, it didn't sound like any three-way thing..
I know a let down is on the way...but im hoping this clears more salary for a potential deal for nieds. Anahiem could see that there almost out of the race and with 2 1st rounders realize the time to rebuild is now. Without giving up a young core of players Getzlaf, ryan ect maybe they dangle selanne as well.
Ducks fans will say no chance but if im the gm in Anahiem I strongly consider what I could turn 3 first rounders pending on a deal in to. Its popular to be a young fast team in the league now and this gives the ducks a chance to be that while keeping some really good players. The 2 other teams in the state of california look like they will be a force for at least the next few seasons.
I am down with clearing the logjam, adding a pick and solidifying the team for the stretch. On the otherhand, Filatov would be effing sweet for the future, but I agree, if there is anything, it will be small.

Funny, I made the same Ruth returning along with a pick joke in an email to a friend
