If Kopitar isn't playing hurt, he needs to be benched. Though he's skating like he's other horribly out of shape or has a busted up back.

All it takes is a couple of brain farts and you can lose a game.
I posted that in the PGT that was made before this one.. lol Roshole.
As for grit, Zeus dd his job today and well is getting a good name in front of the net. in PHX he showed it as well.

That over the shoulder under the crossbar shot is kryptonite to Quick.

Sucks to lose in such a fashion after getting back in the game.

Kopi needs to wake up soon.

Moller is still to small.

If Murray was using this game for his decision on who to put on the ice in the final minute he should have had Parse-Richardson-Simmonds.

Unfortunately he thinks Parse isn't an NHL player and he thinks Richardson is a 4th line center.

Does anyone know Richardson's stat line since being taken off the Ivanans line?

Guy has been huge.

That would be my guess,

On Belanger's goal, Doughty let him skate in, by the time Belanger shot at the top of the circle, Doughty was at the bottom of the circle, that was pretty pathetic.

I didn't see the first game, Johnson looked ok out there, not great, not terrible, the -3, was more than likely due to team play, and not necessarily his own play...unless he was the one that did not tie Belanger up on his first goal.

Johnson was the reason why the last goal went in as well.. He pinched an it turned into a 2-1.

Oscar Moller is a very skilled player, and he is small but he knows how to take hits

Trading Frolov just opens up another hole, we need to add players, not subtract skilled players.

I think Teubert is the most likely one to go, Hickey's value is limited with the injury and the Kings can't move Voynov right now, IMO.

Atleast if the Kings can get something for Teubert it could salvage one of DL's worst trades.

Agree! the kings need a scorer who can create some space on the ice. Also using the point more will create more space like it did in the 3rd period.
Can frolov be traded now, this is a chance for him to step his game up and he just can't do it.
Its time for purcell to go!!

Well looking at the standings the Kings are still right in the thick of it, but certainly not as good as we looked 2 weeks ago.

I think we need atleast a split on this little trip before a tough one against the Caps on Saturday.

This season he's getting bumped off the puck extremely easy; numerous times (including tonight), it's lead to odd-man rushes for the other team.

If Moller is going to stick around in the NHL, he's got to be a SMALL player playing BIG.

No need to trade for one. We have all that we need. That one guy..um..what's his name....Oh yeah Kopitar that's his name, needs to get his S*** together. Kopitar this year has showed he CAN'T be relied on to carry a team. Even with Smyth back these 2 games he is still invisible out there. As soon as he starts scoring like he did in those 1st 20 games of the season, we won't be getting far.

He is nowhere near Ovie, Crosby, Malkin and so on.

YEAH!!
Let us all remember that this is one hell of a start and we are still doing good. (May look crappy now) but yes.

Kopitar and Frolov need to wake up... and soon. The Kings are going to be right out of the top 8 in no time if they don't start contributing on the scoreboard in short order.

he's fearless, which is pretty fantastic. he's got to pick his spots better, and the cycle game is NOT for him... he really needs to be playing on the wing.

I love Teubert, but I think he may available as well with the signing of Muzzin....you can't trade a guy who you just signed....Maybe Hickey or Voinov too....

Man, this game just blowed. Watching Kopitar now is similar to watching a car wreck occur in very slow motion.

It doesn't help that we're missing two very important players, but the urgency and hustle seems to be sorely lacking, as well.

I wonder who Lombardi is looking at right now, because this team needs some help. I know that people are saying that it's not the time to make a trade, but with how close the standings are and with every game being a must-win game, it changes the landscape a little.

I can tell that Frolov is trying, but Kopi looks like he's never played hockey before. It's pretty disconcerting.

Of course you would.

They both need to contribute if this team has any prayer of making the postseason, and both have been absent on the score sheet for far too long.
